We spent one night at the Black Monkey Villa in mid-September and felt completely at home. The accommodation is tastefully and functionally furnished - the air conditioning, hairdryer and fridge are in mint condition and worked perfectly. The beds are very comfortable and the covered outdoor area invites you to enjoy the beautiful view of the greenery even when it rains. The shower was a real highlight - by far the best we experienced during our stay in Sri Lanka. We were able to relax wonderfully and would definitely come back on our next visit to Sri Lanka!

Ocean pearl Cottage is a place where you can feel right at home. The owners do everything possible to fulfil your needs and wishes, may it be for meals or drinks or organisation of trips. The Place is very quiet, clean and located in a Small Street just a Couple of Minutes walk away from the Ocean. the Beach is amazingly clean, long and has a Turtle Conservation project close by. I really enjoyed staying in Ahungalla at Oceans pearl for a couple of days and will definitely be back.

From minutes of arriving, and being shown around the property i couldnt stop smiling, i felt i had walked into a little oasis of peace and relaxation. The room i had booked was still occupied, the guests asking to stay another night, so i was kindly upgraded free of charge to the poolside villa. The lush gardens were full of flowers and it was easy to sit and watch the squirrels, birds and in the evenings, the fruit bats. The pool was much appreciated during the heat of the day, and you could always go and sit down by the lake, at the "secret spot" where they do the cooking classes, which in itself was one of the best experiences i have had in sl. The food here is also some of the best i have ever tasted (and ive travelled extensively in sl). The owners prasad and wife kumudu made me feel so welcome as soon as i arrived, were easy to chat with, helped with arranging sightseeing and after a few days i was made to feel part of the family. They personalised the cooking class to recipes i was dying to learn, and the weather rained off my boat trip twice, but on my last morning we made it and prasad made one of the most delicious iced teas i have ever had! Coming at the tail end of the monsoon season i had rain follow me daily. Here was the first place it eased off and was surprisingly less humid, the breeze from the lake making things really pleasant. I was genuinely sad to leave, but also happy to know i have found a special place to return to again

The stay at R Degrees, is one in a lifetime! We have had an unforgettable stay, and the staff really do everything to make the stay a perfect holiday! Clean room, clean swimming pool, always pool towels fresh and clean. Private beautiful sandy beach, kind of sheltered so we was swimming alot in the sea also. Very good breakfast and dinner. This was the best hotel we had in all of Sri Lanka, the room was very big, the bed was nice, the ac worked perfectly, the shower was warm, the staff was very friendly, the breakfast was amazing; so much food you couldn't even finish, the pool was nice and the garden was full of life! Every evening you see hundreds of fruit bats leave their sleeping spot! BOOK THIS HOTEL!
