And he also brought chocolate cookies as a welcome gift! I would definitely recommend this place. You can really see that this cottage is cured with love by the owner.

Laugarfell Accommodation & Hot Springs is located in the Eastern Highlands and is at the border of Vatnajökull National Park. From Laugarfell you have access to many hiking trails and you are close to the road leading to Askja. Laugarfell is accessible for all types of vehicles.

There is a shared guest lounge and restaurant. The restaurant offers breakfast, dinner and coffee, cake and snacks. Amazing location and great dinner and breakfast! The hot pools were so nice!

This little house cannot be called luxury, but it is incredibly cozy. We had the best three days of our 2-weeks journey around Iceland in this place. It is especially well equipped with every little detail to make you feel at home and relaxed. The kitchen has everything one might think of. Small but very cozy bedroom, where you feel like in a cradle and don't want to leave. Thank you very much to the owner who has thought of everything with love and care! Very much recommended!!!

It provides modern en-suite rooms, a restaurant, hot tub and sauna are available at an additional charge. Receptionist/owner(?) was very nice. He helped us to heat up our food and carried our suitcase for us. He also made some travel recommendations in eastern Iceland. :) There are also free postcard offered by the hotel:) Our room had private bathroom included, and we saw a rabbit from our windows!! The breakfast was also great! I recommend you to stay here if you are looking for a stopover between Höfn and Egilsstaðir
