Very easy to find (It has a brightly lit sign a top the building that was visible from quite some distance away), this hotel was excellent for our stopover too Iceland. We arrived early but for a small fee the staff were able to put our room together which was greatly appreciated as the wife and I were exhausted. The room had a massive expanse of windows which was great as we were on the top floor so could see for some distance. The Breakfast was a buffet style with a reasonable choice of continental options. As we were checking out early they provided us with breakfast bags to go which I thought was a nice touch. The room was clean and well presented, the shower had a choice of regular or raindrop style shower heads and the bed was very comfy. Though not immediately obvious there was a sports bar at the back of the hotel which was most welcome for some evening bar food.

Midgardur by Center Hotels is located on Reykjavik's main shopping street Laugavegur, and features an on-site bar, restaurant and free WiFi. Hallgrímskirkja Church is 800 metres away.

Breakfast is nice. Very central location, right at one of the bus stop for most of the tourist companies to pick you up for day trips. Walking distance to old town area with a variety of shops and restaurants.
