From the second we drove up the gravel driveway lined with cypress trees and were greeted personally by Francesco (he waited outside to welcome us!), we knew we had chosen the right place. The property is stunning — with beautiful rooms and cottages scattered across vast grounds surrounded by forest, vineyards, and olive trees. Every corner reveals thoughtful details: a wooden bench overlooking the hills, cozy couches beneath sunshades, and lanterns that glow softly at night. The sense of aesthetics here is truly remarkable. They offer a lovely breakfast with local cheeses and meats, great coffee, baked goods and natural juices. It’s served in a beautiful and elegant dining hall that has a lovely fireplace and seating area, chess boards and books. You could easily spend days just wandering the estate, exploring the forest, and soaking in the views. Lucignano is also perfectly located, within 30–60 minutes of countless Tuscan highlights. The location is secluded in between olive and wine fields. The staff was very nice and allowed us to switch our bungalow to a one with a better view. We were there in October and were alone.

Although the staff did not speak English (Sonja does) they ministered to our every need using Google translate. The B&B is beautifully decorated with all modern features.

This place is a rare find, and I couldn’t recommend it more. We left with full hearts and can’t wait to come back.
