Such an amazing Cave hotel. the people are friendly. The room was spacious, with high ceilings. the furniture and amenities all on point. the bed and sleep-sofa both were comfortable, while still also looking like a cave <3 The room also comes with 2 giant moisture guards that keep the room nice. they make noise but can be switched off when going to sleep. Be sure to expect some humidity as it is a cave, this is not a negative point to me as it is logical but it appears not everyone was prepared for it haha You order breakfast the day before. It is then delivered to the room in the morning at the time you choose. The selection was good and the food lovely. on a final note, the entire city and also the hotel is surrounded by slopes and stairs. Wear some good shoes and take your time to get your luggage to and from the place you are staying. There is a manned parking garage near the hotel on the Via Vena (Parcheggio Communbale Via Vena) (few min walk) which costs 20 euro's a day. good price!

This property was fantastic. The location is perfect for exploring both sides of Matera—you can either walk or take a bus to reach the Sassi. Parking is free, and the host, Giuseppe, was incredibly kind, helpful, and always available to answer our questions. The room was very well equipped, and although we were just two people, the breakfast provided could easily have served four. Everything was spotless, and we were genuinely pleased with our stay. I highly recommend this apartment and we’ll definitely be coming back.

The attention to detail to create a historical immersion into the past was incredible. All staff were passionate about history, archaeology, music & were very helpful & friendly. Good location close to the city centre and the cave houses (Sassi). Donna Lina room has a wonderful jacuzzi! Very friendly staff, garage availability right next to the apartment (25 euro per day).

The hot tub and shower were fabulous! The accommodations had everything you would ever need. The location was absolutely perfect and the host provided excellent information. One of the best places I have ever stayed.
