My daughter and I stayed here for 3 nights in February. Ken san and Yuki san were delightful. The property was very clean and comfortable. They renovated the inn themselves and you can see care and attention in every detail from materials used to decor. The food was delicious and much of it was grown (rice) or made (plum wine) by Ken or Yuki. They provided great recommendations for restaurants and side trips. They ensured we were prepared with all the details required to ensure we had successful adventures. We are so lucky to have we picked the Sakonomichi. It was sugoi!!!

El Auberge Hidanomori, inaugurado en 2022, se encuentra en unas colinas tranquilas, a 10 minutos en transporte desde la estación JR de Takayama. What an exquisite place. We spent two blissful nights here and from start to finish felt coddled and cared for by the lovely, gracious family who own and run the auberge. Our room was spotlessly clean and comfortable, with the highest quality bedding and softest pyjamas imaginable (I had to buy some to take home!). The food was absolutely top-notch, five-star by any rating, as good as anywhere in the world (I’m talking NYC, London, Paris). The wine pairings were delicious, unusual, well thought through (and natural). The design was beautiful, clean, understated and very very cool with lots of locally crafted furniture. The service was attentive and kind, and we had everything we needed provided for us. Lastly the private onsen was a delight and always available when we wanted it. What a lovely, intimate hideaway—on the outskirts of Takayama, shuttle from and to station provided, making it very easy. Thank you Toshi and Keiko and family—this was an unforgettable stay.

玄Gen, que cuenta con bañera de hidromasaje y vistas al río, está en el centro de Takayama. The house is fully equipped. We even used the washing machine. Thank you. The host took good care of everything and offer himself to take us to the train station.

Utatei Mago ofrece wifi gratis y parking privado gratis en Takayama, a tan solo 7 min a pie de Estación de Takayama. The acomodation was very clean, modern and well-located. We had a very confortable stay and were able to relax a lot in between excursions. The host left us a lot of great recomendations for food options, we especially enjoyed the grocery supermarket suggestions. Highly recommend staying here. Thank you so much for such wonderful hospitality!
