花緑里-Hanamidori-乙原のやど 岐阜下呂温泉郡上飛騨金山湖畔リゾート está a solo 19 km de Gero Station y ofrece alojamiento en Gujō con terraza y acceso a pie de pista, además de servicio de habitaciones. The owner and his mother were so kind, they gave us many advice and news about the current event and matsuri. The house is a lovely japanese one with a nice view on the river. It was very big and comfortable for our family. All necessary equipment (bath, laundry, towels, kitchen..);and also nice gifts 😁. It also work like a small conbini as you can buy noodle, drinks whatever you need in the house.

The house was very comfortable, with all amenities and the parking space was very useful. Communication with the owner was always good. We would stay again!

Shiroyamakan se encuentra en Shirakawa, a 47 km de Localidad Museo de Hida Minzoku Mura, y ofrece alojamiento con bicicletas gratis, parking privado gratis y jardín. Es el hotel más lindo en el que estuvimos! Parece sacado de un cuento. Es muy cómodo, las instalaciones son excepcionales, tanto en la habitación privada como en las áreas comunes. El Onsen y nuestra habitación tenían una vista increíble al río y la montaña. La ubicación es muy buena, estás enfrente de la estación de buses lo cual es muy cómodo y al lado del centro histórico. Igualmente dentro del hotel se siente mucha privacidad y silencio, e incluso casi no te cruzas con los otros huéspedes exceptuando los horarios de comida. Lo que realmente hace perfecta la experiencia es la familia que está a cargo del hotel, desde la cálida recepción hasta la comida exquisita que sirven. Si tienen la oportunidad recomiendo que se hospeden en este lugar, no se van a arrepentir!

El Auberge Hidanomori, inaugurado en 2022, se encuentra en unas colinas tranquilas, a 10 minutos en transporte desde la estación JR de Takayama. I have no words other than - wow. Beautiful place in the woods, minimalist interior, impeccable. It’s all about the small details! The shuttle service to and from the stay was also super helpful. We had dinner two nights in a row, the first night with the wine pairing. We had drinks we never had in our lives (we ended up buying a couple of bottles) and tasted one of the best meals we have ever had. The second night they remembered our favorite drinks and in general were so attentive. I have nothing but good words to say about this place and I’d recommend staying there to anyone coming to Takayama.

This is an excellent property to stay in and feels like very recently renovated. Spotlessly clean, with all the facilities we needed. Cooking and laundry facilities are all new and easy to use with helpful English translations on the key buttons. The AC was very welcome given the time of year and very high temperatures. The location is only minutes walk from the older town streets with shops and places to eat. Also only about 5 minutes from a good supermarket, ideal if you want to do some ‘home’ cooking.

We were lucky enough to be the only group that was booked during our stay, and it was exceptional. The house offered a little slice of what country life is like but still have the accessibility to a decent sized town. The Japanese garden was relaxing, and having a little family shine out back by the woods really made the property even more special. We took the tatami room and I was afraid that it might be uncomfortable, but it was some of the best sleep I had during our trip. If you plan to take a bus there, take the H02 or H03 (Hirayu s Hiohotaka line - stop H14) and walk about 10 minutes. He property itself has 3 rooms that the owner rents out, 2 tatami rooms and 1 western style room. There is a full kitchen downstairs, a bathtub, and a separate washroom, which was a nice touch since it allowed us to do our thing without having to wait for the toilet/shower. On our last night, we cooked a little meal and enjoyed it in the traditional dining rood.

Absolutely immaculate, due partially to it being brand new, but the craftsmanship is brilliantly executed. To say it exceeded our expectations is a massive understatement. It's very comfortable, private, clean, and well equipped. The location is nice since it's very close to everything, but also a little off the beaten path so you can escape the crowds. The route into the centre along the river is idyllic and such a treat. There's even a tiny playpark nearby for little ones, but it has seen better days. Highly recommended.
