Very cool, retro vibe in the lodge. The staff are fantastic, the food was delicious, the room was very comfortable, & the onsen facilities were very nice.
The outdoor bath is on the colder side, but the inside bath is nice & warm, so there is a nice difference between the two to try out.

Return to this same resort at Myoko after 2 years.
What I like :
1. Near to several ski resorts
2. Provides transport to train station, to ski resorts, to dinner place
3. Onsen
4. Big Japanese room for 2 person (can fit 4)
5. Simple breakfast (new owners setting up). Kind of miss the Japanese type breakfast two year ago.
6. Can do dinner at resort
7. Nice drying and locker room for snow gears.
8. Quiet place for good night rest.
9. Discount lift tickets to Alpen Blick Ski resort that is few minutes away.
New owners should run in the resort well this season and improve on the next season.

Staff and hosts were incredible, truly going above and beyond to make our stay what it was - From transfers to assistance with gear rental and booking english speaking snowboard lessons and other excursions. Lianne & Sam were the best.
I would definitely come back.
Food was great at the B&B. Delicious breakfasts. Dinner was lovely. Chicken burgers especially! The onsen was great too.

Staying at White Tree Lodge felt like visiting family Hayden and Saki are great hosts who do everything to help and make your stay enjoyable, room and lodge facilities comfortable, great location close to ski lifts and other restaurants in the village, and the home cooked Japanese food in the white tree restaurant was delicious with a great variety on menu. I have been skiing in Japan for 15 years and white tree is a definite standout and would highly recommended

Well located guest house in Madarao. Staff were excellent and very hospitable. Lift to/from the main ski area each day as required but we often walked as it was so close and easy. We were picked up from and dropped off at local train stations (Myokokogen and Iiyama respectively) by a staff member. Food was good particularly the one dinner we had at Maroudo. Onsen was a good temperature. Highly recommend.

Situated 5 mins from the main street of Akakura Daiju is great spot to base yourself out of for your stay in myoko. Huge brekkie, great little in-house onsen style bath and shuttles to Mount Myoko resorts. Twin rooms are massive.
The staff at Myoko Forest Lodge were exceptional. They cooked great food, had excellent tips and advice about the area including good info on where the best snow might be found. We were treated like VIPs by everyone.
The beds were super warm and cozy and the inhouse bath was divine.
Michael and Tamami went out of their way to make our stay, just perfect. Excellent amenities and super clean. The bathroom set up is great for couple as you can share a 'Onsen' together.
Red Fox is centrally located between all three ski areas, there is a courtesy bus for dropping off at restaurants ect.
Nothing is to much trouble.
The central lounge has an open fire, it’s very social and well equipped.

quiet and spacious hotel. our corner room was wonderful with windows (double for warmth) on 3 sides with lovely views. clean tatami mats but sleeping on western beds. great in-room shower but the onsen (on-site) was fantastic. Seki onsen itself was wonderful. the hotel itself is right next to this oldest ski resort in Japan which is still family- owned, had plenty of powder, and most importantly, was not overrun by Australians like in Akakura village. we had a car so accessing the other ski resorts nearby and going out to dinner was fabulous.

Highly recommended stay in Akakura!
The room was very spacious & spotless along with a nice communal dining area, fully equipped kitchen, a dry room for all your snow gear, clean toilets and an amazing natural onsen which can be private for you to enjoy. It was a perfect way to end the day. We loved our host, her english was great and was able to provide recommendations on local attractions and snow info.
