The staff went above and beyond to ensure a fantastic experience. They were not only friendly and welcoming but also attentive to every detail, always ready to assist with a smile.

The service as this Ryokan was 10/10, and was the most authentic one we stayed in during our 4 weeks in Japan. The staff were so lovely, and spoke great English. They showed us to our room, and gave us essentially a "room tour" whilst we drank complimentary tea. They gave us a map with nearby restaurants and ammenties noted on it. The private outdoor onsen was SO nice! You book a slot upon arrival, which you can access in the evening with 30 min slots. The onsen was large and the perfect contrast with the fresh cool air in the evening. Yukatas were provided for us as an option to wear around the hotel - both my partner and I are bigger than the average Japanese person (Wife is plus size, I am 6ft 2) and we both comfortably fit into the ones picked out for us. The only thing that threw us was that during breakfast, they cleared the beds from our room - had we known people would go in, we'd probably have neatened the room a bit haha! P.S don't skip the sushi restaurant a few doors down from the hotel. The sushi was EXQUISITE and they even have a phonetic Japanese to English page at the front so you can have a go at ordering properly with the chef.

Hosts are amazing - picked us up from Yudanaka station and dropped us back, same with the monkey park. Made everything so easy for us. Ryokan has indoor and outdoor onsens, the outdoor onsen is private. We used it at night when it was snowing and it was magical. Plenty of eateries close by, although the hours vary for each. Make sure you have cash as many don't accept cards.

Aburaya Tousen offers luxurious contemporary Japanese-style accommodation with an amazing 11 types of hot-spring baths and free WiFi. I enjoyed everything the whole experience is amazing. starting with welcoming drink and sweet, and we pick a Yukata. They explain everything and guide us to our room. the staff were extraordinary, super friendly and polite They will go above and beyond to help you. we got upgrade to bigger room, the private hot spring bath was awesome with view on the river. I like the private dining room, they me our special dietary request, the food was so delicious, the chef prepare sushi / egg infront of you it was fun experience. The owner came by herself to greet us and to say goodbye when we were leaving. They even took us to snow monkey park and the station for free. Thank you to all staff I really appreciate all efforts to make my stay unforgettable. I am for sure coming back again.

Το 志賀高原 白い温泉 渓谷の湯, το οποίο είναι σε Yamanouchi και σε απόσταση 14 χλμ από Jigokudani Monkey Park, προσφέρει απευθείας πρόσβαση σε πίστα σκι και θέα στο βουνό. Absolutely a gem!!! Food was one of the best in the entire trip to Japan. Some staff spoke English and went out of their way to make the experience memorable. The onsen is natural hot springs with nice sulfur smell. Loved every second of this place. Would happily return.

We had a great stay at Shoraiso for our honeymoon in December. Service is unparalleled and the staff are doing above and beyond to make us feel like home without being intrusive. We love the elephant decor of the room and the beautifully landscaped garden, and the private onsen is definitely the highlight of our trip. Breakfast and dinner are included and the food is just exceptional (very tasty with fresh local ingredient and creative presentation). The location is quite convenient - 45min train from Nagano to Yudanaka station and hotel is just a few min drive away (the hotel can arrange pick up). Monkey park is quite close (around 15min taxi away). Overall we couldn’t recommend this hotel more!

To Hotarutei Villas βρίσκεται σε Yamanouchi, σε Ναγκάνο, και παρέχει καταλύματα με δωρεάν WiFi και δωρεάν ιδιωτικό χώρο στάθμευσης, καθώς και πρόσβαση σε υδρομασάζ. Omakase dinners and breakfast were absolutely delicious and exceeded our expectations. Location was very close to snow monkey park. Private onsen was a luxurious experience for us in the property itself.

Το Hotel Grand Phenix Okushiga προσφέρει εύκολη πρόσβαση στις πίστες του χιονοδρομικού κέντρου Okushiga Kogen και απέχει 1 λεπτό με τα πόδια από το λιφτ 1. I never experienced such VIP service otherwise in the world. Whole reception teams demonstrated what extraordinary service should be. I arrived late by bus and was welcomed by one receptionist in bus stop. so I did not need to carry my luggage in the snowing road. They even opened the ski rental shop for me after working hour. The next morning, I missed public shuttle bus and they offered to use hotel shuttle bus to drive me over to ski lift in Yakebitaiyama without reservation in advance. I felt that I was living with a lot of friends instead of living in hotel. I was too tired to try the bar at night, and I would like to try it next time. Swimming pool was good with quite warm water. Hot bathing place with best view. Sun rising over snow mountain top. Breakfast was very good with many variations. The dinner I ordered was pork hotpot, and personally I think the starter tasted better and pork meat is okay. I will try something else next time. All in all, the service and room condition are all top.

Το Villa Alpen βρίσκεται σε Yamanouchi, σε απόσταση 22 χλμ από το σημείο ενδιαφέροντος Ryuoo Ski Park και παρέχει κλιματιζόμενα δωμάτια και μπαρ. I really enjoyed staying at Villa Alpen! This ski in ski out hotel is quiet old but the atmosphere there is so peaceful. Onsen works 24 hours! It is a great bonus. The continental breakfast and Japanese style dinner served. All good! The staff is very friendly. The ski resort is consisted of multiple small resorts and they all interconnected. The owners accommodated all my needs and were very helpful and kind! I will be back for sure!
