El J-Hoppers Kumano Yunomine Guesthouse se encuentra en Hongu, a 10 minutos en coche o a 70 minutos a pie por la ruta de peregrinación Kumano Kodo del gran santuario Kumano Hongu Taisha. The hostel was fantastic. We rented a tatami room, which was spotless, very comfortable and with a really nice view. The onsen was amazing, we absolutely loved it. Everything was clean, there were snacks, eggs to boil in the onsens in town and all cooking and serving tools to eat them afterwards. The bathrooms were incredibly clean. This was our favourite stay along the Kumano Kodo, despite being the cheapest.

民宿 和合 Minshuku WAGO está en Tanabe, a 2 min a pie de Kumanokodo Nakahechi Museum of Art y a 29 km de Sala de Conciertos Kamitonda. The host is super friendly and speaks very good English. Our room and the bathroom facilities (used by only 1 other room) were very clean. Water boiler and microwave in the room. What we liked most was the relaxed atmosphere for dinner - the food was great and we got a chance to taste several typically Japanese dishes. So make sure to book with food if possible! At the beginning we found it a bit pricey, but in the end it was really worth it

高野山 宿坊 光明院 -Koyasan Shukubo Komyoin- está en Koyasan, a 39 km de Kishi Station y a 45 km de Matsushita Park. Ofrece alojamiento con jardín y wifi gratis, además de parking privado gratis. A really nice shukubo experience - definitely recommend it. You get a sense of the daily life of the monks, and it is well located next to all the main sights in Koya. In the morning, you can participate in two rituals, and they are as depicted on the photos. Hope to be back some day!

El 高野山 宿坊 桜池院 -Koyasan Shukubo Yochiin- ocupa un histórico templo situado en la zona sagrada del monte Koya. Increíble experiencia! El monje que nos recibió y acompañó durante la estadía fue fantástico. Y la habitación espectacular. Super recomendable, volvería sin dudas

Samsara Inn 今だけオープン特別価格 está en Tanabe, a 15 min a pie de Playa de Tanabe Ogigahama y a 400 metros de Tokei Shrine, y ofrece wifi gratis y aire acondicionado. Amazing stay for the night before our Kumano Kodo hike! The apartment is beautiful and had everything we could have needed. The staff were so warm and welcoming too, and we were greeted with a delicious breakfast at 6am before we set off. What a great stay!
