Lizzy Wasi is a beautiful little hotel in Urubamba - the gardens are so beautiful and the alpacas are a real treat to hang around with. The property is a short walk into the town (10 mins). We wish that we'd spent more time there and also visited Luna's Horses next door!

We stayed at the hotel after an intense hike to Machu Picchu, specifically to rest, and it was the perfect choice. The hotel was completely renovated from an old colonial-era convent. This convent, in turn, was built on top of Inca ruins, which themselves were constructed over the remnants of an earlier civilization conquered by the Incas. How do we know this? The hotel offers a fascinating daily tour of its underground areas, where you can visit the ruins and learn about the site’s history. During the tour, they explained how the hotel was meticulously renovated and rebuilt to become the stunning place we experienced, while honoring all the historical layers of the past. The room was extremely comfortable, and the amenities – shampoo, conditioner, creams, and bath salts – were of excellent quality, carefully chosen to provide a luxurious experience. Another highlight was the spacious and pleasant common area, where we could see women from Chinchero selling their handmade products and meet Panchita, a lovely llama. This common area also features a variety of plants and herbs cultivated on-site, which are used to prepare different teas offered to guests. This thoughtful detail added a special touch to the experience. Additionally, the hotel offers several amazing activities, such as cooking classes where we made ceviche using peppers grown in the hotel’s own garden, along with other fresh ingredients. The pool and relaxation area were outstanding, featuring a heated pool, hot tub, and both dry and wet saunas, providing the perfect setting to unwind. The breakfast was another highlight. We’ve never had such an incredible breakfast! We even asked for the recipe for some delicious cakes we tried, and the staff provided it to us promptly. Our stay at the hotel was absolutely perfect. The only "problem" is that it’s so amazing, you won’t feel like leaving – not even to explore the incredible city of Cusco

Guest may enjoy our buffet breakfast from 05:00 am to 10:00 am for an extra fee, There are a hot tub and a sauna in the Tierra Viva Valle Sagrado Hotel's spa. I loved the place! The service was super kind, beautiful view, easy to find, great breakfast, good shower and bed. I highly recommend!!

The Cartagena’s spa has large windows looking out onto a garden terrace. Guests can benefit from a variety of body treatments or relax on loungers by the large hydromassage tub. The care that has been taken to restore this Hotel is a credit to the owner. The attention to detail, the space, the location and of course, the food. The staff are fabulous, the service so good. I can highly recommend Casa Cartagena Boutique and Spa.
