Excellent place to stay in Porto Moniz. Location is super convenient, close to the natural pools and with enough parking spaces (either underground at the hotel, or the parking next door). Super helpful and friendly staff, willing to give recommendations for your days in Madeira. Breakfast, even though in a different building close by, was also delicious with multiple savory and sweet options. The room was spacious, with enough equipment to make your own food in the studio if you want. The bed and the pillows we also comfortable and the small terrace of the room gives enough space to relax after your excursions.

The 4-star Aqua Natura Madeira offers elegant rooms with Atlantic Ocean views in the fishing village of Porto Moniz, 45 km north of Funchal city centre. It offers a sauna on site. The hotel was absolutely lovely. Upon arrival, the staff welcomed us with a beverage, coupons for the restaurant, and tickets for the natural pools. The property is in a great location (literally right next to the volcanic pools), and they provided tickets for us to enter each day of our stay. The Seaview Restaurant was so good we ate there twice. Both times, I got the seafood pasta because it was damn good. Upon checkout, they sent us off with a card, a pen, and a little jar of apple preserves. If you're going to Porto Moniz, this is the best place you can stay.

The view from the room was great but rooms on the higher floors had better views. Breakfast and dinner were both great. Staff were great.

Perched on a cliff facing the Atlantic Ocean, this design hotel is within a renovated traditional farmhouse. The staff and the facilities provided were really good. They also provide organized hikes with drop and pickups.

Recently awarded as Europe's Leading Design Hotel, the luxurious Vine Hotel is located in Funchal and offers a fusion restaurant with stunning views, a Wine Therapy Spa, and a rooftop infinity pool. The design of the hotel is fantastic! The rooms are beautiful and clean, thanks to housekeeping twice a day! Thanks for the little attention on our pillows ;) Charles and his bold collegue (don’t know his name, sorry) at the reception are doing an amazing job. And last but not least Jorge, responsable for breakfast, runs from left to right to make sure everybody is happy and presentation of the food is up to standard. He was very helpfull to us and our baby! Congrats to the entire The Vine staff.

Really tastefully decorated room, nice and spacious, bathroom too, thoroughly cleaned every day. Very friendly welcoming staff. Beautiful rooftop pool area, relatively small but somehow not crowded, perfect for relaxing. Overall, a very pleasant seaside hotel.

We spent our honeymoon at this beautiful hotel, and it was the perfect choice. They prepared a lovely room for us. We had an amazing view and a spacious, comfortable bedroom. The location was ideal — just a short walk to the center of Funchal.

Host was really clear in the instructions and willing to help with anything we needed. The house is really spacious and clearly well taken care of. The hot tub is a nice touch. The shower was perfect. We want to mention how grateful we are for the flexibility of our host, with a special request of ours... It really helped us out when we needed it. Would recommend this place to stay at. Kitchen well equipped, coffee machine was nice, fridge was nice and big.
