The hotel’s pools were lovely, but we spent most of our time in the sea or lounging on the beach just steps from our bungalow. There are beach loungers available, but it’s best to go early if you want to secure one. Khao Lak is wonderfully peaceful—a much-needed escape after the busier vibe of Karon Beach. It’s the perfect place to unwind, take long walks along the shoreline with plenty of hotel bars to stop at, or visit the old town for some shopping. After exploring the area, we truly felt that Moracea was the best choice, and we’re so glad we booked here. Highly recommended for a relaxing and rejuvenating getaway!

We enjoyed every moment we spent there. The rooms are beautiful, huge and very clean, and the whole atmosphere is pleasant and quiet.

Super peaceful hotel with amazing views, surrounded by nature. It's tucked away a bit from the main road, so we rented a motorbike because we wanted to have the total freedom to explore. However, the hotel offers a free shuttle to the town's market and can pick you up and even take you to the nearby waterfall, so a motorbike is not a must if staying here. There are a lot of small things that make this one of the best overall hotel experiences we've ever had. For example, the hotel has a very nice restaurant, with very reasonable prices, like usual restaurant prices you'll find in Thailand, and a wide menu. Even the minibar inside the room has minimart prices. Massage inside the hotel, by the pool, while listening to the sounds of nature, is the same price you'd pay at most massage places, 0% hotel markup. It is so refreshing to know that you're not being ripped off by overpaying 2-3x for everything you do or eat inside the hotel. Wifi is free, no password headaches, just connect and use it. The staff are very friendly and it feels like a family business, not a corporate hotel chain. To sum up, big 5-star hotel brands could learn a lot from this hotel on how to provide truly exceptional service.

A private entrance leads guests into the villa, where they can enjoy some fruits. This villa is non-smoking and soundproof. Having the managers contact in the rooms was great as she was very helpful in organising motorbikes/activities. The breakfast was delicious and staff were very friendly. The tv has access to connect your phone and access streaming sites.
