We stayed for 8 days for our anniversary and were generously upgraded to a Beachfront Villa. The beachfront was beautiful, brunch was so lovely and the staff service was above and beyond - they helped make us reservations at nearby restaurants, book spa slots and had such a lovely disposition. We loved it here and would go back in a heartbeat.

We spent two nights at Paradise Retreat on Hon Son Island, and it truly lived up to its name. Architecturally, it stands out immediately—its birdhouse-inspired design peeks through lush jungle hillsides, with individual suites perched above the coastline, each offering full ocean views, floor-to-ceiling glass, and charming thatch rooftops. The moment you step off the ferry, you can’t miss it. The interior design continued that sense of thoughtful simplicity: organic tones, natural textures, eco-friendly toiletries, and beautifully curated furnishings in both the rooms and lobby. The staff were fantastic—warm, attentive, and genuinely eager to help. They even lent us their scooter so we could freely explore the island. Their menu didn’t have many vegetarian options, but once they realized I was vegetarian, they made every effort to accommodate me with a lovely fresh fruit and yogurt breakfast (included in the stay), which I appreciated greatly. Paradise Retreat itself was very clean and environmentally conscious, unlike much of what we encountered elsewhere on the island. We explored on foot and by scooter, and I have to admit—it was heartbreaking to witness how much garbage covered what could easily be postcard-perfect beaches and little fishing villages . This isn’t just a Hon Son issue; it reflects a broader challenge across Vietnam. I truly hope the government and local communities can come together to initiate a country- and island-wide clean-up effort. The natural beauty here is undeniable, and it deserves to shine without obstruction. Paradise Retreat & Staff: 5 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Exceptional hospitality, beautiful design, and unforgettable views.
