Mr. Koike and his Wife was very welcoming. He even picked us up from Tsumago-Juku. The Dinner and the Breakfast was just amazing. The room has a balcony with a view to the waterfall. The private onsen was very clean and relaxing. Would come again for sure. Best regards from Austria :)

We had 2 wonderful nights here and we absolutely loved it. The hosts are super friendly and helpful. They even gave us a ride to the station (multiple times), provided bear bells for our hikes and even helped us cook dinner XD. Also, the breakfast was phenomenal! Beautiful place to stay with very friendly hosts. The restaurant was outstanding, we had the full traditional 8 course meal and it was the best! The onsen was lovely too. Highly recommend.

Woderful stay! The Hill Top was our base for three nights. This allowed us to do the Tsumago/Magome hike (one hour drive) as well as hiking Mt. Kisokoma-gatake (one hour drive). Getting there by car was made easier by the indications on the roadside for the last few kilometers. The hosts were exquisitely kind. Dinner was excellent and we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the local wines. Breakfast was also excellent. Surroundings of the hotel are beautiful. One of our most pleasant stay in Japan.
