I loved the boutique style of the hotel, nice interior with great art, comfortable guest lounge, as well as a beautiful room. Got a lot of information and had nice chats with owner and manager Luke. Free parking is a plus, great restaurant downstairs if you wish to have breakfast, lunch or dinner. Will definitely stay there again when I have a chance!

United KingdomEverything. The rooms had everything I needed, free parking outside. It had a pool and good beer in the bar. Nice little courtyard. The owners obviously care, and there’s attention to detail. It’s the best hotel I’ve stayed in and I’ve done the whole of North Island. I’ve stayed in a lot more expensive and fancier ones, but I prefer this one all day long.

This is a beautiful park with lots of different areas to...
This is a beautiful park with lots of different areas to explore. Take your family to the avery, petting Zoom and play park and ensure you have plenty of time to explore. Beautiful walks but would recommend a pram for little legs that might get tired.

I adore my visits to Pukekura Park, last time we walked just...
I adore my visits to Pukekura Park, last time we walked just before dark and there were only a few travellers, runners and dog walkers. As a result, the waterfall and fountain were not operating unless you switch them on….across the fountain lake (opposite the rotunda) is a pump house and if you face the lake with the pump house behind you there’s a switch on a vertical post at the garden barrier. It’s more obvious at the waterfall OR ask a local because they’re beautiful. Don’t miss the amazing colourful displays in the fernery- extensive and far more than ferns.

The lights at the park are a must see don't go to NP during the Christmas period without making a trip to see the lights it is so beautiful. Even walking histories have done a You Tube video on the lights in the park.

Hosking House is an old late 1800’s home that has been lovingly restored in keeping with the age of the property. Rachel & Rodney make guests feel as if they are part of their family - you are cared for in every way - from crisp white linen, fluffy bath robes, a guest lounge with an abundance of looks & games, to the outstanding continental & cooked breakfast each morning. Pukekura park, the CBD & the Coastal walkway are within walking distance. Staying here was a memorable experience.

Pleasant large bedroom and smaller ensuite facility, adjoined to a large two storey villa house. Central location is very near to the Pukekura Park, and a short walk to the New Plymouth city shops and restaurants. An off street carpark is available.

This is in a great location for walking, being very close to the coastal walkway, the start of the Te Henui walkway, and not too far from Pukekura Park and the city centre. The house is very spacious, warm and modern with everything we needed and plenty of on street parking.

The unit was spacious particularly the kitchen area ( a nice touch was the owner had left lemons and a couple of Hershey chocolates), large comfy bed, large wardrobe, bathroom had plenty of towels and toilet paper , able to put your car in the garage and in close walking distance of the CBD for dining and tourist attractions ( eg art gallery , museum and Pukekura Park) Very well appointed unit , which we couldn’t fault and would recommend.

The location is close to the Coastal Walkway, the city centre, the shopping mall, and Pukekura Park, and yet, it was quiet, no traffic noise (except for the occational train horn :-); the aquatic centre is just across from the house - really ideal;
The interior is very modern and tastfully decorated; kitchen, bathrooms, and appliances are excellent;
Also, we were allowed to check in earlier, which was very much appreciated given the poor weather - Thank you!

Fantastic location....CBD is an easy walk as is Pukekura Park. It did rain during our stay so the internal garaging was a bonus.
