I really liked the ambiance of the place. It felt like I was staying in an art gallery.

The facilities and cleanliness of the room (towels were clean, sheets were spotless, room smelled wonderful, toilet was cleaned daily, the rooms were spacious and comfortable). There was nothing to complain about as everything was prepared with the comfort of the guest in mind (tableware in the room was complete, the nice sitting area inside the room, the bidet in the toilet was a surprising and pleasant addition, the Dyson hairdryer, the bathtub, the cleaned/new towels, bathrobe and slippers provided daily, the umbrella inside the closet). The snacks in the room refilled daily was another pleasant surprise. Another thing I would commend on was the service/hospitality of the staff in the hotel. One of the memorable things was when I asked for assistance in getting a packing box and it arrived in less than 5 mins with scissors and a packing tape in tow without me asking for it. The staff went above and beyond and for this, I am truly grateful. Location is great- the MRT is close by, family mart 7-eleven, Watsons, and a clinic is just next door. A famous cafe is within walking distance, and the area is safe and busy enough without it being too overwhelming. Definitely a hotel I would come back to and recommend to other people- especially for people with families.

1. Cost/performance ratio. The room is spacious and the staff members that I have encountered are well trained and most of all, their proficiency of English language are one of the best that I have ever experienced among all the establishment I visited (excluding ones in America) 2. Breakfast was really delicious and during my stay of 4 nights, the menu has been changing constantly.

We recently stayed at The Dandy Hotel in Taipei and we were really impressed! Despite being a 3-star hotel, the service was definitely at a 4-star level. The staff went above and beyond – they even gave us a courtesy call for checkout time without us asking, and were super flexible with storing our bags before and after our stay. The room itself was a pleasant surprise. It was much bigger than what you typically get in Taipei, and spotlessly clean. The bed was really comfortable and we slept great – it was nice and quiet too. The bathroom was a highlight with amazing shower pressure and lovely lemongrass-scented toiletries. Just a heads up though – the shower is over the bath, which was quite narrow. There's a handrail to help you get in and out, but it might be tricky for older travelers. One thing I loved was being able to open the window for fresh air, though don't expect any views. The location was really convenient, just a short walk to the station. Breakfast was pretty average overall, but they did have some nice cakes. Oh, and if you're looking for last-minute gifts, they have some cute items like soaps and keyrings at reception – really came in handy for me! The only real downside was the breakfast not being anything special, but honestly, everything else made up for it. The fantastic service, clean and comfortable room, and convenient location make this place a gem. I'll definitely be staying here again next time I'm in Taipei!
