Our stay at Haber Apartments was fantastic! One of the standout features was the large, beautiful pool, which was perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. The rooms were incredibly spacious—much bigger than other hotels we’ve stayed at in Zanzibar, giving us plenty of room to unwind. The food was equally amazing, not just in taste but in presentation. Every meal was beautifully decorated and tasted just as great, adding a touch of luxury to the dining experience. The staff was another highlight—they were incredibly friendly and truly went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. From the moment we arrived, we felt warmly welcomed, and the service continued to impress us throughout our stay. We highly recommend Haber Apartments for anyone looking for comfort, space, and exceptional hospitality in Zanzibar in a beautiful scenery!

Nothing was too much trouble. The owners and staff would respond to any request immediately- we felt like we had found our little piece of paradise. The location was fantastic - loved watching the fisherman come in with their catch and the locals living their lives. Breakfast was amazing. The chef prepared whatever you wanted off the comprehensive menu. The poached eggs and pancakes were our favourite.

After a week long safari on the mainland, we relaxed and rested for a few days in the Zanzibar Queen Hotel and it was a perfect decision. The managing staff (Regina, Darek) were exceptionally welcoming and dedicated a lot of their time to make us feel at home, sharing some interesting info about the island. The reception/restaurant/cleaning staff were great too. The hotel has a big and deep pool surrounded by a beautiful garden with plenty of places to rest on sunbeds and comfy armchairs. There is a row of sunbeds at the beach and, while we have not used them, it seemed that the locals are asked not to bother people using the hotel sunbeds. And the beach... super wide (at low tide) with totally white sand, absolutely gorgeous. Sea urchins make it a bit difficult to enjoy the water but the hotel provides rubber shoes for the guests so at high tide it's just fine to swim near the shore. Breakfast is a buffet with tonnes of options including great coffee. Lunch can be ordered a la carte but there is also a daily special menu for those who want something extra. Dinner menu changes daily as well but there is the possibility to order something else from the regular menu. All food we tried was very very good! The hotel organises some free activities for the guests every day. Yoga in the mornings, reef walks at low tide, some singing and dancing performances in the evenings. You can also get bikes with relatively wide tyres which are great for biking down the beach. Overall, we had excellent vacation and can strongly recommend the hotel!

Amazing hotel in a wild, untouched setting. There’s nothing around except the beach — but what a beach! At first, I thought the restaurant prices were high, but I later realized that good-quality dining is simply expensive considering this zanzibar (25 usd).The food was excellent and the breakfast, which is included, was varied and delicious. The only downside was the spa, which I found far too expensive and not really justified. Offering complimentary paddleboards or canoes would be a great addition — and please, definitely no jet skis. To move around after your stay, keep in mind that the hotel is a little slice of paradise, and in the end the value for money is excellent. Yes, it’s a budget, but considering the overall experience and being right on the water, it is worth.
