The property is beautifully located at the edge of the national park (a 10/15min walk from the village through the forest where you can already spot some animals (we saw an orang-oetang on our walk to the village). The cottages are decent and have a lovely view. Here I ate one of the best banana pancakes out of 6 weeks in Indonesia. The jungle trek they organise is very good, and Ronny and Anto are an amazing guide and cook. We would very strongly recommend them! We did the three day trek and saw loads of orang-oetangs the first day and together with Ronny we decided to go more into the jungle the second day, to see more of nature and other wildlife. Ronny listened to what we wanted to get out of our time in the jungle, adapted his program throughout the day depending on this and was very knowledgeable and open to exchange thoughts and views beyond the jungle alone. The food Anto cooked was delicious! Overall the jungle trek with Ronny and Anto has been one of the best experiences in all of Indonesia and I would recommend everyone to book it with them!

No sólo por las habitaciones impecables, grandes, preciosas, limpias... Sino por ellos... Realmente se preocupan de qué no te falte de nada, de que si tienes algún problema... Lo van a solucionar. Viajo sola y cuidaron de mí como si fuera mi familia. El mejor lugar de bukit Lawang por ubicación, por ser precioso y porque el staff y Jail el dueño son las personas con más corazón que he encontrado viajando por el mundo. Prepararon una clase de cocina para mí increíble. El treking en la selva fué top con el guía Salama. No estoy exagerando. En la habitación de al lado había una mujer que venía enferma desde Bali, y éllos cuidaron de ella como si fueran familia. Le llevaron un doctor increíble e iban a verla cada 2 horas. ORANGUTANTREKSUMATRA & LOVELY JUNGLE LODGE only book IF you are treking with us ofrece alojamiento en Bukit Lawang y cuenta con restaurante. I loved the stay in a hut so close to the nature, surrounded by quiet forest, stunning view and sound of river. Huts are simple, no electricity, which I liked. Owner took care of meals which were amazing. Also the trip to the jungle was very well organized with fruit snack and lunch. Huts are located on a hill to which lead a steep path but it is only 5 minutes hike. Alltogether maybe 30 minutes of walk from the village. You can leave your heavy stuff with owner and take only necessary things with you. During breakfast time expect visit of monkeys.

On The Rocks Bungalows, Restaurant and Jungle Trekking Tours está en Bukit Lawang y dispone de wifi gratis, jardín, salón de uso común y terraza. We were treated like family at on the rocks, wawan and his team were so helpful and friendly that we instantly felt at home. I cannot recommend staying here enough. We did multiple treks with Wong and he was wonderful, so much information to share but also never even felt like he was a guide. Treks can be suited for your fitness level but you are almost guaranteed to see orangutans no matter where you go. The restaurant was also delicious.

El sitio, la gente, el paisaje… es un lugar que a pesar del turismo no ha perdido su magia. Tuvimos la oportunidad de hacer un tour de 2 dias por la selva y gracias a los guias (Mawan y Rudi) fue increible. Se preocuparon de todo y ademas saben hacer hasta trucos de magia! Se lo trabajan y eso nota y sobre todo se agradece. Asique recomendadisimo este lugar y sin duda para repetir!! 🙂

Our absolute highlight was the bamboo house with the restaurant and chill-out area. The staff were super helpful and friendly. We also loved the sustainability concept of the EcoLodge together with the EcoFarm. The village tour and jungle trekking we booked through them were amazing experiences as well. We’d definitely come back anytime!

The architecture of room that is like the batak traditional house. Comfortable even though there is no fan or air conditional. The family room is spacious. The resort has nice landscape garden. There is a vegetable farm beside the accommodation. Have nice view of Gunung Sinabung. Although breakfast is not included, it's cafe also serves delicious western food. Like the quiet yet calming of the atmosphere of the hotel. Highly recommended!
