Sinharaja Kurulu Ella Eco Resort está en Deniyaya y dispone de wifi gratis, jardín, terraza y restaurante. We had an incredible 3d2n stay at Sinharaja Kurulu Ella Eco Resort. Even before our stay, Janith and Manisha went above and beyond to make our trip to Sri Lanka enjoyable. The drive we had originally booked cancelled last minute, and they were able to quickly arrange transport for us from Colombo to the resort and even for the subsequent week of our trip. The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful, both the structures and the surrounding areas, which includes a path to a waterfall and gorgeous views of the rainforest. We ate each meal here and loved every single bite - the coconut sambal was some of the best in the world. For those with smaller stomachs, the portions are huge so it’s best to split a plate so as to avoid food waste. We originally booked the triple room with a view but when we saw the Superior Family Room, we immediately upgrades because it’s essentially a glass treehouse immersed in the jungle. We also booked a jungle tour through the resort and our guide Kumar took us on an incredible all day journey through a tea plantation to a rainforest, where we explored waterfalls and learned about the local flora. We are traveling through Sri Lanka for a few weeks and really this has been one of the highlights of our trip because of beautiful location, delicious food, the wonderful memories made on the jungle tour, and most importantly the compassion and kindness that were shown to us at every minute by Janith and Manisha. We cannot recommend this place enough.

Natural Mystic Sanctuary está en Deniyaya y dispone de vistas a la montaña, piscina de temporada al aire libre, jardín, terraza y restaurante. Hay wifi gratis. Me enamoré de este lugar, para mi, que me gusta la naturaleza, el más auténtico y agradable de los que estuve. Si algún día regreso a Sri Lanka será para volver a la Reserva forestal de Sinharaja y hospedarme en este maravilloso santuario. Los anfitriones y el staff muy agradables, la comida muy buena, la casita enorme y el guía que nos aconsejaron para realizar el tour, maravilloso. Les deseo lo mejor a Karina y resto del equipo.

Ripple by the river dispone de vistas al jardín, wifi gratis y parking privado gratis. Se encuentra en Weligama, a 2,1 km de Playa de Weligama. I liked the location, the view, the room (ac was working perfectly, hot water, comfortable bed). The homemade food they were making was tasty and also reasonable priced. Also by the river seeing crocodiles, peacocks, monkeys and comodo dragon was fascinating.

Lunuvila Resort Hiriketiya Dikwella dispone de vistas al jardín, wifi gratis y parking privado gratis. Se encuentra en Dikwella, a 9 min a pie de Playa de Dickwella. our absolute favorite stay in sri lanka! we kept extending it because oh we loved it so much. 1. the place is ideally located between dickwella and hiriketiya. close to the main road but far enough to be quiet! (important for us) 2. the room is extremely clean and well-thought out. very beautifully decorated with so much love and attention to detail. we had everything needed and couldn’t ask for more really. having our own kitchen was a huge plus and you can also do your laundry here. 3. the host Dasitha is one of the nicest (if not the nicest) person we’ve ever met. he was so patient and humble and truly cared about our experience…! very welcoming and friendly. great communication too. made our stay so special. helped us a lot in all possible aspects of our travel. feeling very grateful we decided to stay there and meet him. 4. the space: there’s a quiet outdoor area with sunbeds. we loved it! 5. unbeatable value for the price.! we couldn’t wish for a better accommodation! can’t recommend enough and look forward to coming back. thank you so much Dasitha!

Unrushed Midigama está a 2,1 km de Playa Midigama y ofrece alojamiento con jardín, terraza y cocina compartida. En el lodge, tanto el wifi como el parking privado son gratis. Good wifi, massive lawn, and my personal favourite- monster lizard. It lives in the lawn. You can walk to the beach and all the eateries. Manu is very resourceful and can get you most of the things. Just ask him!

The garden, the bungalow with it’s private space outside to chill, the common areas where people got together to drink, eat or just chat… It’s also a 1 minute walk from the beach and literally 30 seconds from awesome coffe shops and restaurants. The hosting family is kind and will help you with anything you need. I had the chance to know more about them and how midigama has evolved in the past 40 years. It was really interesting and they are the sweetest people. Also, 2 great surfing spots just a few minutes walk from the bungalows. I will surely come back! Thanks for everything!

Rainforest Nature House se encuentra en Deniyaya, en la región de Distrito de Matara, y ofrece alojamiento con wifi gratis y parking privado gratis. Location and hospitality of the workers is beyond exceptional. You cannot beat the views, and waking up to the beautiful jungle and forest right from your bedroom, or the dreamy fireflies at night from the balcony. Their home kitchen menu is superb, made fresh to order, and super tasty. We had delicious breakfast, lunch, and dinner options all tasty and satisfying. The owners also connected us with a great hiking guide in the Sinharaja forest who pointed out rare species, took us to waterfalls, and even prepped us so we would not get leeches on our shoes. This location is absolutely the best and we would come back again! 100% recommend to anyone considering visiting the Sinharaja forest. They are family owned, and extremely kind people.

A Hidden Gem for a Relaxing Holiday – The White Gate Lodge, Weligama I stayed at The White Gate Lodge in Weligama this September, and I ended up extending my stay because I just didn’t want to leave – that’s how good it was! The location is ideal for anyone looking to relax and unwind. It’s just a quick hop across the road to "Wild Beach", one of the most peaceful and beautiful beaches in the area. Plus, it’s close to Ahangama town, Matara, and not too far from the must-visit city of Galle. Despite being so central, the lodge is tucked away in a quiet spot, perfect for enjoying some true tranquillity. I stayed in Tharu & Dinesh’s stunning family home, and it was a genuinely lovely experience. The house is clean, beautifully maintained, and equipped with everything you’d need for a comfortable stay. My room was spacious, cozy, and had a nice view. What really makes this place special are the hosts and their hospitality. Tharu and Dinesh are warm, friendly, and incredibly attentive – they made sure everything was perfect throughout my stay. I also have to highlight the breakfast – it was absolutely delicious, beautifully presented, and thoughtfully prepared each morning. The care they put into the food and service really stood out. Whether you're a solo traveller, a couple, or a family, I can’t recommend The White Gate Lodge enough. It’s the perfect place to relax, enjoy nature, eat well, and be truly looked after. I’m already looking forward to my next stay!
