The host, Johan, was really nice and hospitable and the location itself was lovely as it was remote and allowed us to gaze up at the aurora without light pollution getting in the way. Unfortunately I believe those were the only two reasons I was not entirely disappointed with my choice.

Staff were accountable and responsible. especially the receptionist girl who helped us when our train was cancelled and immediately offered a practical solution. Quiet and cosy stay in the lapland.  It's equipped with a great wood sauna.  Breakfast was nice at their teepee style lodge.  We also had free access to the nearby Sami museum in Jukkasjärvi, which was very interesting and informative.

Great experience of escaping from the city and being among nature. Stefan is a great host! We also took a snowmobile tour and enjoyed winter activities. Also, from the house along the lake you can walk in an hour to the ice hotel, and along the way you can enjoy the snow, mountains, forest and beautiful views. I hope that we will return to Camp Caroli once again to see the northern lights again and live this experience away from the city alone with nature.
