Situated at the base of the wild Tsitsikamma Mountains, The Fernery overlooks an impressive 30-metre waterfall in the Sanddrift River gorge. This is a piece of paradise. The chalet is very comfortable and well equipped and maintained. The restaurant offers excellent food options. The breakfast is amazing. I recommend staying here at least for three nights.

Garden Route Game Lodge is located near Albertinia, overlooking the Langeberg Mountain Range. It is surrounded by lush vegetation and various animals can often be seen. Amazing place where you can rest, see animals in their natural habitat and eat great food. From the moment you pass through the gate everything is organised for you. The staff are so welcoming and attentive. The game drivers are so knowledgeable and engaging. We should have stayed more than two night’s! Our son , who is 9 years of age happily got up at 6 AM to go on a game drive . We all loved it. One of the most memorable experiences we had as a family!

We will definitely be recommending this place to our friends.

The cabin was made of logs and had everything you could need supplied and was situated in a garden with mature trees and shrubs, which provides absolute privacy from the other cabins on the property. The hosts were also fantastic as were the other staff. The beds were very comfortable with plenty of extra blankets should it turn cold.
