We’d recommend visitors go on the nature drive… so much to learn about the beautiful Karoo. Great to be escorted by such an enthusiastic guide! Another highlight was the pool - in such beautiful surrounds, and made even more magical by the evening visit of the zebra and various bucks to graze. We’d love to return!

Sanbona Wildlife Reserve is an authentic and contrasting natural space, conveniently located along Route 62, a mere 3.5 hours from Cape Town in the arid Little Karoo. Superb rooms. The bed is heated and the fireplace is amazing. Staff very friendly, our ranger Jordan was a real expert. Very small lodge (6 rooms) which gives a very authentic feeling. Food very good.
