We stayed at Destino for one night and really liked it! The place is surrounded by nature, and on a clear, sunny day, you can see three volcanoes. One of the coolest features of the rooms is that one of the walls is made of natural rock, giving you the feeling of being in a cave - yet everything is modern and well-built. The hosts were very welcoming too. Liz sent us lots of great recommendations for things to do in the area. You can also enjoy an outdoor bath with hot thermal water that comes straight from the ground. The highlight of the property is the cold river, which you can reach within a few minutes. In the Costa Rican heat, swimming in that fresh, flowing water was absolutely amazing. We highly recommend this place to anyone looking to immerse themselves in nature and quiet, while still staying in a comfortable and thoughtfully designed house.

If you are looking for a peaceful place, in nature, with excellent hosts, this is undoubtedly the right place. The rooms are very welcoming. Several breakfast options, always well prepared. The whole farm is wonderful, a fantastic pool, very well-maintained common spaces, with plenty of space to walk and lots of wildlife. It's close to several national parks. Roger and his wife are wonderful hosts! Always concerned about your stay and showing you around, with lots of tips, always available to help. In addition, they are extremely concerned about transforming the area into a better place, very concerned about the surrounding nature and wildlife. We loved talking and getting to know each other better and we have no other way of expressing how fantastic this place was - next time we return to Costa Rica we will definitely come back here!

Super nice check in. Great English and we could pay by card. We even got a night tour trough the gardens! Saw several different frogs and a fluorescent caterpillar. Room was spacious and just perfect. Breakfast in the morning was nice. The juga natural was very tasty.

everything. It starts with the awesome hospitality of Cecile and Eric. Everyone is so nice and kind. Then there is the rich, very special and always fresh breakfast each morning which gets you started for a fun packed day. You have so many opportunities to do in the area, like Tenorio with Rio Celeste or a night jungle tour and many more. But you can also just stay on the finca grounds and explore. There we have seen tons of different birds (including 3 types of toucans) as well as white faced monkeys. The cabins have a really high standard and nothing was missing. Cecile provided us with the best tips were we could have a great dinner. Our whole family never wanted to leave - It was our last stop on our trip but we couldn’t have chosen a better place.

The hostess Yockgen (Yocky) gave us a warm welcome and we felt immediately at ease. The lodge is in a beautiful garden with hummingbirds and lots of other birds. Yocky provided transport to the national park and the hot springs and even to the bus. The food is excellent and the pasta tasted like a pasta should taste when you eat pasta in Italy! I had some problems with mosquito bites and Yocky’s mother Rosa provided some homemade natural repellent and even some natural medicine for the stomach. We had a wonderful time there and even wanted to stay longer, but that was not possible unfortunately. Thank you Yocky and Rosa for making us feel at home.
