We had an exceptional night on our road trip through the UK. The Victorian house is lovingly and beautifully restored. It is spotlessly clean and exceedingly comfortable. The cottage was built in 1736 and has been renovated to a high standard. It was spotlessly clean. The bedroom. Is very large with an extremely comfortable bed and stunning views across a valley. The kitchen is small but exquiped with the essentials. The heating was excellent. Parrking, is on the street, but since the street is only used by local residents, this was not problematic.

This was a hotel with the best staff I have ever experienced. Very attentive, polite, helpful and courteous. The rooms were beautiful and very cosy, the beds were comfortable, Wi-Fi worked well. It was wonderfully quiet at night. Dinner and breakfast in the adjoining restaurant were excellent. There were plenty of parking spaces nearby. The lounges and bar were very inviting. I can highly recommend this hotel.

    Characterful Inn / Pub in central village location with free parking. We were upgraded to a larger room with four poster bed as business was quiet on a rainy Monday in January. Friendly staff made us feel welcome. Pub was quiet but had a good choice of drinks and food, although no evening meals served on Mondays or Tuesdays. We were directed to the nearby Boat Inn which provided a full menu and was lively.

    Clean cozy and fully equipped. It’s a gorgeous property. Easy access to the local area. Easy parking on street. A break we really needed. Would like to visit in winter and get the fire going. Hosts were super helpful from booking to end. Will come back again I hope. Lovely little art gallery right outside the back door. Everything in the house is sourced locally which was a lovely touch.
