Ie. shuttle bus from/to hotel to train station and ropeway, varieties of gold and silver onsens in one place are stunning we didn’t have to go other onsens to try both of them. The price is high, but you can expect a lot. The hotel rooms were great. You could choose if you prefer to sleep in big comfy western beds or prefered a Japanese futon instead (there were two rooms, so enough space to get the futons out). Maybe prepare a bit in advance, so that you know what´s going on, because the English introduction at reception is a bit shorter than the Japanese one, but the staff is always really helpful and can answer your questions. Breakfast and diner were both included and were fantastic. The sushi cook in the evening was so helpful and we tried 2-3 different sort of fish we never had before. And all the other dishes were great, too. Don´t forget to stop in time, so that there is still room for dessert ;o) The onsen on the roof is wonderful. You have an excellent night view and can see the beautiful harbour area. There is an onsen for women and one for men. First there is a big room where you undress and put your clothes in little baskets. Then there is a shower room followed by a pool, a whirlpool and the lovely onsen. And if you want to spend around 200 Yen extra, don´t forget to visit the room with the massage chairs. They are amazing.

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. They kindly informed us about the Arima-Rokko ropeway shutdown times when we mentioned we were going there late in the day and organised a shuttle bus to drop/pickup from the station. They also had 2 private onsen that didn’t require additional fee or booking to use. The food was prepared with care and was truly delicious.
