The food was absolutely amazing and plentiful - I was served traditional Sri Lankan breakfast with hoppers, string hoppers, curry, and fresh tropical fruits that exceeded all my expectations. The portions were generous, more than I could finish in one sitting. Fonseka isn't just a host but a very knowledgeable tour guide who went above and beyond to enhance my stay. He recommended hidden local gems not found in tourist guides, shared fascinating historical details about Anuradhapura's ancient sites, and arranged transportation that made exploring effortless. His insights about the Sacred Bo Tree and Ruwanwelisaya stupa added tremendous value to my visit. My room was spotlessly clean with comfortable bedding and effective air conditioning - essential after long days exploring in the Sri Lankan heat. The garden setting provided a peaceful atmosphere for relaxation. I felt safe and genuinely welcomed throughout my stay. The value for money was exceptional considering the personalized service and included breakfast. My stay at GB royal stay was wonderful. The family are very welcoming and genuine people. I had my dinner there every evening and the food was delecious. They arranged tuk-tuk trips for me which were great. I would have no problem in recommending this homestay for a wonderful time in Anuradhapura. Thanks to the family for their kindness to me.

Everything! A hidden gem in a charming village near Anuradhapura! With only three beautifully designed cabins, the place feels intimate, peaceful, and truly authentic. The service was exceptional – Madushka made us feel so welcome, and the food by Chef Mathiv and his team was absolutely outstanding. We loved walking through the village, where locals smiled and waved at us warmly. Quiet, authentic, and close to the archaeological sites – highly recommended!

I enjoyed every second at the hostel. The place is nicely decorated, people are friendly. I love the backyard. It’s like a little jungle with squirrels and birds. And across the backyard is the lake where you can enjoy beautiful sunrise and more birds. Definitely the best choice if you want to get to know more about Anuradhapura’s local lifestyle and close to nature.

It is a beautiful new property just off the main road. Large beautiful rooms and bathrooms! Huge terrace on top which is available to everyone. Abundant breakfast!
