The hotel is set in a romantic garden of coconut palms and has a clean swimming pool big enough to take a few swimming strokes and relax aching legs after a day exploring pagodas and archaeological remains. The room was spacious, nicely decorated, clean, as was the bathroom. The staff is very friendly and tries to ensure a pleasant stay for the guests. There is also a restaurant in the garden, which serves very good breakfast and dinner. We would definitely come back.

One of the best hostels I’ve stayed! Jonti was always attentive, he kept the place clean and tidy, a kind soul to chat with! I enjoyed cooking and sharing food with my roommates, and just chilling out in the common area. Watching animals coming and going in the garden was fun - mongoose, monkey, parrot, Bengali monitor, woodpecker, kingfisher, hornbill, etc. Two minutes walk to the lake for sunrise/sunset. Truly a gem in Anuradhapura!

From start to finish, our stay at Emerald was amazing! The room was super clean and comfortable, The bathroom was spacious with large shower and plenty of warm water The breakfast and dinner were both outstanding, with well-prepared local dishes that really showcased the flavors of the area. Perfect base for exploring ancient Anuradhapura. The accommodation is very clean and modern, it's a lovely and peaceful spot. Breakfast was really good and our host was exceptionally nice and helpful. We had a really good rest and got all the help and advice for our time in Anuradhapura (and two bicycles which are actually perfect for getting around the ancient sites and temples). Can't recommend this place enough, we'd come back any time!

Everything! One of the best places we have stayed. Amazing staff who are sweet, kind and incredible personal service. Serene surroundings. The design of the villa is incredible. Very beautiful room.
