This little place is ran by a wonderful family who really go out of their way to make you feel welcome. Breakfast was tasty and they gave me lots of tips about what to do in the area.

The rooms at Subaseth Villa are not only impeccably clean but also incredibly spacious, offering a welcome retreat after a day of adventure. What truly impressed me was the innovative approach to dining. With the convenience of scanning a QR code in the comfort of my room, I could effortlessly order delicious meals through WhatsApp well in advance. While the meals took a bit longer to prepare, the freshness and quality were well worth the wait. The staff at Subaseth Villa went above and beyond to ensure my stay was comfortable and memorable. Their willingness to assist with any request, from room service to arranging tours, truly exemplified their dedication to hospitality. Nestled amidst the tranquil jungle surroundings, the hotel provided a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. The sight of peacocks, monkeys, and squirrels frolicking in the hotel garden added an extra layer of charm to the experience. One highlight of my stay was the early morning packed breakfast provided for our Wilpattu tour at 5:30 am. It was a thoughtful touch that allowed us to start our day of exploration on the right foot. Moreover, the presence of an organic coconut and mango grove on the premises added a delightful tropical touch to the experience, showcasing a commitment to sustainability and locally sourced produce. In conclusion, my time at Subaseth Villa was nothing short of extraordinary. From the warm hospitality to the breathtaking surroundings, every moment exceeded my expectations. I can't wait to return for another unforgettable stay.

The staff here was always friendly, attentive, and willing to assist with any request whether it was arranging transportation, Big clean rooms, comfortable bed, clean bathroom, breakfast is amazing, very near to historical places and temple providing local recommendations, or simply checking in to ensure we had everything we needed. Their dedication to guest satisfaction was evident. Thank you once again for making our stay so memorable. Looking forward to returning in the future.

This hotel was outstanding! Impeccably clean, with delicious food and incredibly kind staff. They went above and beyond to solve a problem we had, arranging everything perfectly for the next day. Super organized and attentive. Highly recommended for an exceptional stay! Dinner was excellent, with an exceptional rice & curry and delicious kottu (a local specialty).

Everything was absolutely blessing. The owner was absolutely wonderful, helping us with every problem, transfer and trip. Breakfast and dinner were absolutely wonderful, always looking like a big feast vit photos and the prices were not high at all, very local. Regarding trips (Mihintale, Old City Anuradhapura, or Wilpattu Safari), everything was always planned and the price was very reasonable. We recommend it 100% to everyone and will be back someday!

We had the warmest welcome from the sweetest staff — they were there for us throughout our entire stay and nothing was ever too much to ask. Our room was spacious, spotless and the bathroom was even more beautiful than expected. The perfect place to pause your trip for a day, relax by the pool and unwind. Far enough from the busy areas to feel peaceful, yet close enough (a short bike ride!) to all the main sights in Anuradhapura. We had both breakfast and dinner at the restaurant and everything was delicious — compliments to the chef. A special shout-out to Janake and the team, who arranged our Wilpattu National Park tour, made sure breakfast packs were ready for our early morning, helped us with tuk-tuks whenever we needed to go into town, and shared great tips for the rest of our trip. All in all, we won’t forget this stay or the incredible hospitality. Truly a place we can wholeheartedly recommend!

The best place to chill ever. Such a cute little hostel that with time people will battle to get a spot. Ranga vibes, plenty of respect and smiles. All thanks to Johntee. Loved it. Next target: get a fridge!
