Amazing find - a definite factory reset location. Very close to National park in a very rural area. After an amazing safari we spent the remainder of our two days chilling by the pool.

I wish I could give more Stars. What a fantastic place this is. Nothing was to much. The food was really delicious and we felt so welcome. This is dat ooit the best place we stayed in Sri Lanka. You can also book the safari for the wildpark with them. Sandy came with us and we enjoyed every minute of it. In the morning they took us to the mountain to see the birds in the area. Thank you guys for a wonderful stay

The karanda chalet was amazing. Great design with full glazed facades; you stay completely surrounded by nature. Great staff always super kind and efficient. The plundge pool was incredibile. The surrounding are spectacular, filled with lakes, rice fields and animals.

This place is a real retreat in the nature. The accommodation is located in authentic rural surroundings and from the host Supun and his family we learned a lot about local life. The visit to local buddhist temple was unforgettable experience. The safari was wonderful, we saw about 60 elephants and both Supun and the driver have a good eye for all kinds of animals and birds. Other nature trips and activities are also possible. Supun's mum is a great cook, all meals were lovely. Thank you! We would love to come back.

Sahan Guest House was an awesome find! The welcome was warm and genuine — I was even greeted with a refreshing welcome drink, which was a great touch after a long trip. The location is perfect — right in the city, close to everything, and just a short ride to the ancient city. Super convenient if you’re exploring the cultural sites nearby.
