We are very happy with our month-long stay at Pharping Homestay & Cafe. The location is excellent, close to the main street, but still far enough away from it not to be disturbed by the traffic. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean and spacious. A real bonus is the terrace on the top floor, with a nice view of the surroundings. We sat there every morning to have our breakfast in the sun. We highly recommend this place.

The hotel feels so clean and has an air of relaxation about it. The family showed great hospitality, made delicious food, and we were even lucky to be invited to a dinner party with their friends and family. It was delightful to meet their elder son Sagar, who was also extremely hospitable, was a very interesting partner for conversation, speaks great English, and answered many of our questions and explained many things about Nepal that nobody else was able to explain to us on this trip.

The family hotel is a very confortable place to take a deep rest in the nature of Pharping. Not so far from the crowded center of Kathmandou, Pharping seems to be another world! It was one of the best stays for me. The family is very welcoming and smiling, moreover they were eager to share their culture. They speak good English, so it was quite interesting to talk to them and ask many needy questions! Somehow I thought my room would be darker, but really it had a big window and a lot of sun coming through, so that was really great. The room and facilities were super clean, + bed and blanket were extra comfy and warm, so I really felt as I was at home :) I also enjoyed their dal bhat, that they offer for a reasonable extra price, and even missing it now as I am writing the review. I had to do laundry, and the owner took me to a place where I can do that, which is about a few mins walk away. They also proposed to take me to nearby shops, since it was tough to coordinate myself first. And they also offer trekking services, therefore you don't have to worry about your Homestay is out of the city center, which is perfect for me, because I was working remotely. You can walk or get a cheap Indrive (it was around 70-90 NPR for me) to Thamel, and this way you will enjoy the fun ride as an adventure :) And it was peaceful, and they have a roof terrace where you can chill and enjoy the mountains view. I recommend the place 100%.

The apartment was cozy, clean and staff made us like home. All staff including Ganesh were friendly and helped us navigate grocery, nearby amenities. Thamel was also close by , so it was great location for exploring areas.
