The IceHotel during winter is really interesting. The cold rooms that I was able to visit during my stay were a piece of art. I stayed at a warm room, which is a standard hotel room, nothing special. The breakfast was good, nothing exceptional.

Reindeer Lodge features a sauna and free private parking, and is within 23 km of Kiruna Train Station and 20 km of Kiruna Bus Station.

This place is absolutely special. Very cozy huts with fireplace, set at a lakeside/riverside, close to Jukkasjarvi but at the same time far enough to be surrounded by beautiful nature. Toilets and showers are in separate buildings, but they are warm and very clean. Reindeer feeding at 10am was a particular highlight, my kids loved every second of it. Very good breakfasts and exceptional dinners served in Ovttas restaurant by Sami museum (we got transported there and back by the staff every evening). Helpful and welcoming staff helped us with getting to the lodge despite our late arrival and even dealt with the issue of my forgot glasses. Moreover, this is a great place to watch the northern lights! If I ever get the chance to travel to northern Sweden again, I will definitely stay at the Reindeer lodge!

I loved everything with this hotel - especially the fantastic service from the staff (a man named Sander) that made our trip memorable! Check-in was smooth and easy. We were shown where we could eat and where the sights were. Considering there were less than a handful of restaurants across the ice, that was valuable information. The room was very nicely designed. Beautiful view of Torne river - opposite to Ice hotel. Well maintained room, clean and tidy. We also stayed at Ice hotel, but Aurora River camp glass igloos was much cozier, quieter and more personal. When we got stuck with the snowmobile, the staff (Sander) came out to us and asked if we needed help without us asking for it - talk about good customer care! When I was going to load two scooters onto the car (never owned a scooter before) the staff (Sander again!) came and helped load the scooter. When the car didn't start in the extreme cold, Sander was there again with a battery starter. I stay about 150 nights a year at different hotels, is a level 3 member and I have never before experienced such fantastic service! "Up here in the arctic we help eacher" said the staff (Sander) with a smile and he didn't even wanted anything for the trouble. Fantastic! In total this is one of my best stays ever. (Of course I had to buy some small gift to Sander as a thanks to all the help and service we got)

Everything was absolutely perfect. This cabin is the perfect location to look at the northern lights, that were just in front of us and clearly noticeable from inside. So we were able to look at the amazing natural event while cozy inside. And the host was great and very helpful. Absolutely recommended.

The location was perfect and the view to the lake was amazing. It was close to the city and the airport. The bed was very comfortable and modern with elevation that you can adjust and watch the nice view of the lake from your bed. The owners Cecilia and Mikael where very nice and helpful with everything we needed. We loved it and sure we will be back.

The cabin style loft is beautiful, and warm, and has a nice view. The bathroom is nicely scented, with good enough shower. The bed is comfortable. There was a hot water kettle. Instructions given to reach the destination were clear, and fairly easy to find. May not want to come too late though, because it could potentially be hard to find in absolute darkness. But with very little light pollution, the stars were amazing.

Mikael, Cecilia, Chiara and BRUNO are awesome. They have created an incredible place with a lot of magic surrounding. The views on the lake from the bed are priceless and feeling the nature so close just makes somebody disconnect easily from the world and feel as if you are in wonderland.
