Perfect location, right by the lake which was perfect for fishing, a 20 minute walk from the centre of Rättvik and also close for Dalhalla which we also went to! And the home itself was beautiful, lovely and quiet and so cosy. Margetha is the best host we've had anywhere, she is so kind and there for anything you need. Look forward to staying here again in the future ☺️

We stayed at Villa Franca Maria for a couple of nights, and we wished we could have stayed longer! Everything from the accommodation to the location was lovely, and the hosts are both very kind and available. If we ever travel back to Sweden we will make sure to book our stay there again! We had a fabulous stay! We were greeted by accommodating, helping and relaxed personell (family business). We had the family room (it has its own shower!). It’s always a compromise to sleep with four people in one room, especially when dad tends to snore, but thats on us and not Backlunda. Breakfast was exzellent and above our expectations for a B&B. There’s a terrass on the second floor with an amazing view over the Siljan lake and its surroundings.

We had an amazing stay in Rättvik! The location is breathtaking, with an amazing stunning view of the lake that makes for an unforgettable experience. The apartment was spotless, with all the comforts, while the cozy, traditionally styled bedroom added a special touch to the stay. Last but not least, Olaf and Jela were incredibly kind, welcoming, and open-hearted, making us feel right at home. It exceeded our expectations and will be an experience of a lifetime. The grounds were really beautiful, with lots to explore. Room was very comfortable. There were also lots of lounge areas/libraries with good views of the lake. Breakfast was included and very good. Staff were very welcoming and told me about the local area and hikes to do.
