Situated 450 metres above Lake Lucerne on the Bürgenberg mountain, in the Bürgenstock Resort, the Waldhotel by Bürgenstock was designed by star architect Matteo Thun and features the Waldhotel Spa and... It is an amazing hotel with an unforgettable vibe. Everything around is so beautiful: mountains, lawns, the lake, even buildings look great. The spa is spacious, well equipped, with different rooms and pools, including outside pool with a hot water. There are a bunch of restaurants and bars on the side with delicious dishes and drinks. We had a hike every day and the trails were spectacular.

The location and the view from the balcony was excellent. There is a common washer and drying roonm on site, which is very good, but a bit complicated. This was explained by the Elisabeth, the manager very well. Parking is complimentary on site. One needs to be aware that a 300 Euro deposit is taken on checking in.

The hotel itself is so special with spacious bedrooms with some having gorgeous lake side views. I highly recommend staying in-house for dinner to enjoy Chef Gosia’s DIVINE 3-course meal. She made a special vegetarian meal for us which is the BEST vegetarian food we’ve had in Switzerland. Chef Gosia also made special arrangements for our breakfast which was all so beautifully presented. Roger who works in the restaurant was so kind and professional as was the lovely young lady who took care of us as breakfast. Thank you so much for the most incredible stay - we will return for a longer stay in the summer 🙏🏽♥️
