Brisas del Aeropuerto is a wonderful small hotel. It is clean and comfortable, has really friendly staff, good food to order, and is located in a safe location 15 Minutes from the airport.

GREAT Location near the tropical forest preserves and the Sarapiqui River, right near the Best Chocolate Farm, where we also took a night hike, and just down the road from Aventuras del Sarapiqui (excellent whitewater rafting). It's a private house off the main road and I was worried about dogs barking as mentioned in some other reviews, but it was not a problem at all. It's a split level with two separate sleeping spaces, king bed in upstairs room and queen bed in the downstairs room, each having their own bathroom with showers. The main kitchen/dining area was great for preparing easy meals: rice and beans for dinners and fried egg sandwiches for breakfast. And best of all is our host, Maria who has been SO accommodating and friendly. We just message each other through WhatsApp (I use Google Translate to convert from her Spanish to my English). It's not a luxury hotel but instead a very artistically decorated two bedroom apartment and I highly recommend.

A family of 4+ could easily move in here and live comfortably. The back decks are beautiful to just sit and watch the jungle. It is a little way down the road from the city, which means it is quiet and very laid back. I had both a breakfast and a dinner while at the guest house. Both were great portions with a lot of variety, tasty, and well worth the money. Unfortunately, my schedule and Wendy's schedule didn't align for her bird tour. There was lots of flora and fauna to explore. My personal sightings included Toucans and a Morpha butterfly. I'm willing to bet that there was a lot I missed that Wendy could have found and shared!

Το Finca Rosa Blanca Coffee Farm and Inn βρίσκεται στην Heredia, σε απόσταση 10χλμ. από το Διεθνές Αεροδρόμιο Juan Santamaria. This was the most pleasant and unique places I ever stayed at. So worth the short drive out of the city

Very familier and kind hosts. Very nice, styles and arranged haus. It was easy to find the place, closed parking was provided in front of the house.

Everyone has their own cabin with fire place should you need to warm up. There’s a long walk you can do through the jungle from the hotel which was really nice. The staff were really helpful when it came to getting taxis around, but a lot easier here to have a car.

Το Eco Guest House- Sarapiquí 2 έχει θέα στο βουνό και προσφέρει βεράντα και ηλεκτρικό βραστήρα. Το σημείο ενδιαφέροντος La Paz Waterfall Gardens είναι περίπου 35 χλμ μακριά. Wendy’s place is incredible, a beautiful house, private and surrounded by nature. The nights were with perfect temperature and you sleep with the sound of nature, something we needed to get accustomed with. But we had the best sleep for 4 nights! We booked the full experience with breakfast and dinners brought dearly by Wendy’s mom, who was a bit like our mom too. If you speak a bit of spanish, this will stay as your favorite memory of the house, like for us. The waterfall of the neighbour’s property is also superb and had it just for us, is bigger than it looks on photos! We also saw some toucans from the balcony and hummingbirds. A little paradise we recommend to everyone.

Το Mirador Prendas έχει κήπο, κοινόχρηστο χώρο lounge, βεράντα και μπαρ, στον προορισμό Sarapiqui. A very special and incredible place to visit. You will need a good car to get there, but you will not be disappointed. It is a huge tree house stretching through the native forest as it is built into the forest. Great for bird watchers and frog spotters. Great hikes between waterfalls and around local fields and villages. Very caring staff will book local tours for you and will look after you with a high level of hospitality. The rooms are very big, the bed and mattress are impressive and the mosquito net is well built and spacious! We are very grateful!

Το Selva Verde Lodge βρίσκεται σε Sarapiqui και είναι ένα κατάλυμα με θέα στον κήπο. Προσφέρει εστιατόριο, οργάνωση εκδρομών, μπαρ, κήπο, εξωτερική πισίνα που λειτουργεί όλο τον χρόνο και βεράντα. The staff were friendly, rooms spacious and very clean, brand new bathroom with huge shower, strong A/C, and best of all, the most beautiful grounds.
