Wonderful place, a real paradise! Vala House is one of the best places I have ever stayed. They have only 4 beautiful rooms with backwater view and a wonderful terrace. So relaxing. Wonderful breakfast, they serve you even the dinner you can order in a nearby superb restaurant (Liliput). Extremely nice staff, they organize everything for you. Somebody of them (unfortunately I do not remember his name, he was so nice!) came with me to the nearby so interesting fish harbour. I can only recommend, much better than every 5 star hotel

Sajeev is such a lovely man. He was so helpful at all times. The room was spacious, overlooking the beach with a little private balcony to chill in and read in the evening. Beds were super comfortable. A/C was effective and very quiet. The homestay is at the heart of Cherai beach, walking distance to everything on offer. We opted to have breakfast every day - you could choose Indian or continental. We opted for Indian. Lovely home cooked chana masala and various curries and huge fruit platter and traditional breakfast items were enjoyed every morning, with an explanation from Sajeev about what we were eating. Excellent value for money. We also had dinner a couple of nights which was also good value and very filling. You will never be hungry at Sajeev's place. I would stay again in a heartbeat.

Breakfast was very good, tasted homemade! Every single staff was attentive, courteous, pleasant and went above and beyond to make sure we were happy. The facility was clean and well looked after! Anything we asked was provided with a smile on their faces!! Amazing experience!! Pool was also large and very clean and well kept. Sitting areas are also with great ambience!! Amazing and will visit again!!!

It's our first kerala visit and this homestay make it memorable with their hospitality and generosity. The aunty shini is the best❤️ We miss her already 💕

Clean big room ..its beach front all time breeze gets inside room.Well take cared and good mannered staff.I would definitely love to stay here again on our next back trip. We can enjoy the sea very close..with nice light breeze that make fall asleep ..loved it.

Το Dove cottage είναι ένα κατάλυμα με κήπο και βεράντα. Βρίσκεται σε Cherai Beach, σε απόσταση 32 χλμ από το σημείο ενδιαφέροντος Cochin Shipyard, 10 χλμ από το σημείο ενδιαφέροντος Muziris Heritage... We spent a total of four nights at Dove Cottage. We extended our stay after three nights because we loved it so much. Right at the beginning we can say that if you are looking for accommodation in Cherai Beach, look no further, choose this one because it is just so incredibly good. We were greeted warmly, even though we forgot to let them know that we were arriving early. While we were waiting for our room to be ready, we were given a small snack and were able to freshen up in another room. In addition to our stay, our host Manuvel made sure that we were provided with a scooter for a very fair price. The breakfast was varied, plentiful and very, very tasty. It was a different Indian breakfast every day, which was served warm as soon as we came out of the room. We could choose between coffee or tea, both of which were excellent. Our stay was made so pleasant by Manuvel and his family that we are incredibly grateful to have stayed here. They were so nice, gave us so much information and helped us with everything we needed. They brought us fruit shakes during the day, helped us with our laundry, took us to the tailor and of course, as already mentioned, organised the scooter. It couldn't have been better. The whole family were always attentive and helped immediately, but were never intrusive or restrictive. The rooms were extremely clean and are very modern and newly furnished. Of all the six accommodations we had here in Kerala, it was the best and not even the most expensive. Apart from that, we found the location very good. The restaurants (e.g. Chillout Café, Liliput) are a bit away but it is quite quiet and nothing disturbs you at Dove Cottage. Highly recommended and maybe we'll see each other again in Germany :)

Very nice, hospitable and welcoming hosts. The rooms are spotlessly clean, comfortable, airy and cool. The Keralan breakfasts were delicious. Lovely location across from the sea and 10 minutes walk to Kataddi beach. I booked for two nights and stayed for five and really enjoyed my time there. Highly recommended.

It is not a stay. It's an experience that one will go through. Nice and warm welcoming host who takes care of you like a family. Very close to Cherai Beach and hence very advantageous. I would definitely recommend the place
