Taking your shoes off at entree, sliding doors, gymnasium, kitchen. Amazing. Even more amazing was the staff. The explained every thing well, gave recommendations for food and travel. I even got lucky and hitched a ride back to Nakatsugawa, with a perfect pitstop at Hillbilly Coffee (highly recommend). I stayed here after walking Nakasendo Trail from Tsumago. Perfect place to stay after. Do not hesitate. Go here. Book!

The property has sea and mountain views, and is 33 km from Shuzen-ji Temple. The guest house features family rooms. Clean stay with the friendliest host. We enjoyed the onsen with wonderful mountain and sea views as well as an ice cream gift after bathing! The host allowed us to drop off our luggae early which freed us to stroll around the temple nearby and the rest of Atami, all of the host’s recommendations! My friends and I used the common area often as it was filled with natural light and windows across the entire span of the room. The sunrise and sunset were beautiful and we couldn’t have asked for a more perfect stay!

We only stayed a night and booked a Premium room last minute because of a change of plans, but did not regret at all! The staff is wonderful and the facilities are amazing, ranging from a very large double bed, face masks / skin care products, a great design and lots of space. Perfect stay for an affordable price in the city centre, you will be able to fully relax at Nikki Style!

Comfortable beds and super clean.

We enjoyed free drinks in the afternoon and Japanese baths (although it is a small bath area and only has an interior pool).

Our rooms are designed with traditional Japanese aesthetics, featuring tatami mat flooring throughout. For those who prefer a futon on tatami or a bed, we also offer Japanese-Western style rooms. The warm ambiance is further enhanced by local artists' paintings adorning the walls. The hotel is very good situated in Takayama, near the train station and also near the old city. The staff is extremely helpful and nice (even that they almost speak no English). The room was big and well equipped. The Onsen is very nice. Dinner was superb with all kind of Japanese plates. The staff explained every thing what it was and how we were supposed to eat it, everything was served in a beautiful way.
