We (a family with 2 kids at the age of 6 months / 4 years) had a wonderful stay at The Residence Douz. Amazing rooms, attentive and super child friendly staff. Breakfast was great and we felt very welcome in a positive environment, right next to the Sahara desert. The spa area is great. My best hotel experience in Tunisia so far, we even extended our stay. This place is a hidden gem! The hosts were amazing. We were made to feel welcome from the minute we stepped onto the property. The hosts speak a number of languages and were a great source of knowledge and information. They were the friendliest hosts we had for our entire trip. We felt at home here straight away. Our room was simple but very spacious, clean and comfortable. There was a full-sized fridge plus enough pots and cutlery. There was a bedroom, an ensuite and a separate living area with the kitchen in it. The large pool was a huge bonus when it was so hot. All up it was great value. Thank you!

The owner of this place was the nicest most accommodating host in Tunisia. He quickly and easily helped us organise a camel tour in Douz at an amazing price. Breakfast was fresh and delicious too. The location is great, about a 10-15 minute walk from the town center. The owner also recommended a great restaurant in town. The room was simple and had everything we needed for a short stay. Internet standard for Tunisia.

I had the pleasure of spending a full month in this beautiful apartment, and I couldn’t have asked for a better stay. Fawzi is a fantastic host – very friendly, responsive, and always helpful. The apartment is tastefully furnished, quiet, and fully equipped with everything you need. A big plus is the possibility to do laundry and the secure garage, where you can safely park your motorcycle or car. The location is excellent – peaceful yet well-connected. I felt truly comfortable here and can highly recommend this place.
