Το Rockwater Resort βρίσκεται στον κόλπο Ipak, στη Βόρεια Τάννα και διαθέτει ιδιωτική παραλία και όμορφα διαμορφωμένους κήπους. The location is absolutely fantastic with beautiful views. The garden is really great, beautifully lush. The rooms are incredibly beautifully decorated with an eye for detail, each with a fantastic terrace or a balcony. Privacy for each room is guaranteed by the clever design of the entire accommodation. The grounds with garden and orchard are great to walk through. There is a path down where you can easily enter the water to go snorkeling in calm water. Such beautiful coral with its even more beautiful fish, you're in a real time aquarium! The restaurant is open and very spacious with absolutely the best food! Every day another menu is really awesome to choose from. The owners/ managers and staff are very friendly and very helpful to arrange everthing you would love to do. At the end of the day the staff made a fire in the firepit to enjoy the sunset with a drink, just before dinner. The managers arranged all the excursions that we wanted to do and took care that everything went according to plan, wow! To experience the volcano from so close is a super special experience and great that we saw, felt and smelled that. The route to it through the ashplanes was absolutely amazing! Yakel village was also a super special experience with beautiful people. Also a visit to the banyan tree was magical! A tip I want to give, go to the website to read all the excursions you can do on site in advance. So that you know what you want to do when you get there and can book directly to optimize your stay. We absolutely loved Tanna and loved our stay at the Resort and whished we could have stayed even longer!

John and Veronique were amazing hosts and were extremely helpful when our flights got cancelled. They happily involved us in their local culture and showed us their customs. Everything is clean, beds are super comfy. When the shower head broke he immediately fixed it within 24h. You can have breakfast, lunch and dinner for reasonable prices and all meals very good and delicious. I'm all positive about my 4-night stay, highly recommended!

Rustic and no frills - and the best experience of our holiday. We hope we see Morsen and his family again soon.

Charlie is a very good host , knows everyone on the island and can arrange , tours , flights to accomodate any of your needs . He and his family were so hospitable , it was the highlight of my stay on Tanna to stay with them , they have a beautiful beach just 10min walk which the village children love to play in , the water is crystal clear . I love the hut it’s a tradition style and the food was beautiful , organic and fresh which his wife makes over traditional wood fire . I highly recommend staying with Charlie and using his tours . Not to forget Tom his driver who knows his stuff when it comes to four wheel driving through the volcanic ash plains and rivers to get to the top of the volcano . ( Charlie is a math teacher at the village school , supplies are limited on the island so recommend brining some stationary , pens , crayons , books ect )

The hospitality of Philip, Susan and their sons was absolutely incredible. They were so gracious with their time without being over bearing on your privacy. This is the spot to stay when checking out the volcano side of Tanna. You will have everything you need to see the vanuatu culture from the perfect location. For reasonable rates, the hosts will take care of any other logistic you need. -Set up the 2 hour car ride to and from the airport. -Local recipe dinners by Susan and she’s a great cook. I believe they offered lunch as well but I was going on these great adventures they offer to guide you through: -A local village that will show you dances and rituals of their indigenous culture -A hot spring heated river that flows into the ocean overlooking the volcano -And of course, the hike to the rim of the volcano. I had so much time to chat with the family and they are all so kind. I don’t leave reviews, I was very compelled on this one. Stay in this treehouse. Friendly reminder to grab cash and break it down in Port Vila or at the market in Tanna.
