Wonderful real desert experience!!! You can get there by normal car (no 4x4 needed) though you have to drive carefully as the last part of the way is a gravel road. Larbi is a great host who will tell you about the real nomad life. The conditions are basic but it is close to real nomad life not in a style of a luxury tent. Bright stars at night, quietness and a very nice and honest host. I am sure one day we will be back to go with him to Erg Chegaga. Thank you Larbi for your kindness and stories you shared with us.

A true nomad Berber family living in the desert. We were their guests. 4 Tents only, beautiful and clean, with in the middle a beautiful fireplace. Best tajin we had in Marocco so far in a fantastic ‘restaurant tent’, beautifully decorated. And after dinner a private music show with authentic Berber music. The family really tried to share their way of living.

Very kind host. He helped organize the trip to erg chegaga, where there are hundreds if not thousands of sand dunes Very beautiful dunes and the way to it was amazing as well. We enjoyed our stay at Nomads Heaven Camp very much. Moloud is a very experienced host and guide, very proficient in different languages. Very friendly! Food was good and typical moroccon dishes for breakfast and dinner. Everything was reasonably priced. It was very quiet, approximately 6 km from Mhamid. You live in tent-like clay buildings. It was rather warm inside during the night. So we did not need warmer clothes inside. You can walk 200-300 m and you enter an area with smaller dunes with super fine sand. We just sat there and enjoyed a sunset and sunrise there. So it is "desert experience light". Be aware that the real desert with the big 100m high dunes is 60 km/ 2h away. Moloud could have organized a tour by 4x4 and/or camel. But that would have taken us more time, also one person had health issues. So ideally you spend 2-3 days. And stay in the "real" desert overnight.

Stayed a whole week at desert bivouac and it was nothing short of AMAZING! Don’t miss this opportunity to stay at Madani’s desert bivouac. The camp situated in a beautiful peaceful garden amongst the sand dunes was restful, quiet and mesmerising. Madani also offers to take people out into the great dunes of Erg Chigaga which was AMAZING! Eating the best food I had in Morrocco drinking the best tea I’ve ever drunk and sleeping under the stars, drinking fresh camel milk and seeing a baby camel right after it’s been born will be a memory I will have for the rest of my life. Nadjii who works there is an absolute legend and I always felt incredibly welcomed and enjoyed his energy very much. I had a little disagreement with Madani about having to pay to use the kitchen but I quickly realized you can’t take things for granted in the desert, things don’t come as easy and gas is very expensive! The food is also some of the best you’ll have in Morrocco so I wouldn’t miss the opportunity to order a Tagine. Thank you again Madani and Nadjii you guys are the best! Will try to return again one day Inshallah!
