We stayed at Shine Homestay as a group of 16 people, and everything was simply wonderful. Rabina and her family made us feel truly at home: their kindness, calm energy, and attention to detail created a peaceful haven in the middle of Kathmandu’s lively chaos. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the rooftop offered a lovely space to relax, and breakfast was fresh and generous. Communication with Rabina was always easy and warm, both before and during our stay. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for authentic hospitality and genuine connection with local life.

Located in Thamel but just a few meters away from the sometimes chaotic centre, thus making it a quiet place in spite of being round the corner of all the cafes and bars and shops. Location and price are very good. You are directly in Thamel without being too close to the nightclubs. So you don't get disturbed during during the night. Also, the stuff is super friendly and helpful. Beds are very comfortable, it is clean and you have a reliable hot shower. The common area is great for hanging around and meeting new people. They also have a pooltable for free. The view from the rooftop is also great. You have a clear view of Monkey temple The hostel is within the walking range of Kathmandu Durbar Square and the monkey temple.
