Bahya was helpful and very attentive. He helped us arranged some bookings and provided us with all the information we needed. One morning we had to go to Abu Simbel at 4am. By the time we woke up, 4 breakfast boxes were placed neatly in the little fridge in the kitchen. Thank you for that. Shame on me that I forgot to give the tip I mentioned to Bahya the last morning before we left as we left too early for a long drive to Siwa that day and Bahya wasn’t there when we left. I hope when I have a chance to come back Aswan and stay here again, Bahya is still around so I can give him what I was supposed to.

The location is beautiful, the rooms are comfortable with lovely beds, the food is Nice and the staff is incredibly helpful. Excursions are well organised. It was great fun on the falucca with sunset.

We stayed at Nuba Heart as a family with two children and had an amazing experience. The accommodation was spacious and quiet, with two large bedrooms. It's ideally located—just a short walk from the ferry (only 10 EGP per person), and close to the train station and the local bazaar. From the moment we arrived, everything was smooth. A taxi was waiting for us at the airport, and Thameer organized all our tours and even our transfer to our next accommodation in Luxor, all at very good prices. He was always available and ready to help with anything we needed. We enjoyed delicious breakfast and lovely rooftop dinners with a great view. The Nubian village around the guesthouse is full of charm and becomes very lively at night. The locals are warm and welcoming, and the whole atmosphere made us feel right at home. Highly recommended, especially for families looking for an authentic experience and excellent hospitality. Our children loved it.

I traveled alone and there weren't many guests there, but he made sure I enjoyed my time. Restaurant on the site is very convenient and you can enjoy your food in a private terrace. I ended up spending a lot of time on that terrace, just relaxing.

Absolutely everything. The stay was properly magical. The room is big and clean with private bathroom. The terrasse is very charming and on the Nile river, with in the desert view on the other side and a few minutes by boat to the botanic garden. Ahmed is the kindest host I’ve had. He helped me a lot with my visits in Aswan but also with the organisation of my trips to Luxor and Abu Simbel. He is very well connected with the Aswan community and I could organize my visits directly with him which made it so easy to enjoy the time in Aswan. A big plus, at the hostel, there are canoe available from the terrasse to enjoy solo trips in the Nile. Very cool.

Its was a beautiful property, it was clean, and they where very hospitable. Our driver didnt have anywhere to stay, and they gave him a room.

Το Jamaica Guest House παρέχει καταλύματα με βεράντα, μπαρ και δωρεάν WiFi. This was our first stop in our trip to Egypt and we were so impressed. TLDR: There is no better place to stay in Aswan. Muhammed, the host, turned out to be way more than just a host. He assisted us with the bookings of all our trips and helped us navigate Aswan. If you have any questions or would like assistance with bookings ask Muhammed. He arranged our pick-up from the Aswan Airport and our transfer from Aswan to Luxor. The prices he proposed are very fair. With regards to the rooms, it was clean and spacious and we even had our own small balcony. It is not a 5* hotel, but it is a very nice guest house that really gives you a Egyptian living experience. Esra, our Hostess, was wonderfully friendly. She prepared our breakfast every morning and we were made to feel part of the family. The Elephantine Island is very safe and you can walk from one point to the other in between houses without any problems. There is a public ferry that takes you from and to the island throughout the day at a fee of 10EGP per person. There is no need to take a private boat. The people on the island (and Egypt in general) are very friendly. Many want to sell you something, but if you say no with a smile they will not hassle you to much and you might strike up a fun conversation. Please do yourself a favour and stay at this guest house.
