The Mango guest house was an incredible and authentic experience in Elephantine Island. The staff, the facilities and the settings were fantastic. The staff arranged everything what we asked for: a car from Luxor, a trip to Abu Simbel, food delivery and a felucca sailing trip. It’s not for everybody, though. If you’re a 5-star hotel frequent visitor, this is not for you.

This was the 4th hotel I tried in Egypt in just 10 days, and honestly, it was the only one that matched exactly what was promised on Booking. The manager, Sheriff, really seems to love what he does...and you can feel it in every little detail around the place. The hotel itself is so well thought out. My room was beautiful, with an amazing view of the Nile and the Nubian village. During the day, you can watch the boats drifting by, and at night, the lights of the village give off such a peaceful, magical vibe. It’s located on a small island, which makes it super calm and relaxing. There’s even a little farm! It’s eco-friendly, pet-friendly, and Zaazouaa (the sweetest welcome committee ever) greets every guest as they arrive.

Το Dolty Kato Nubian House By Kato Dool που διαθέτει κοινόχρηστο χώρο lounge, βεράντα και εστιατόριο, βρίσκεται στο Ασουάν. Beautiful and unique Nubian design; friendly and caring staff members; excellent cooking from the hotel kitchen and really good location close to the market for strolling and shopping. Samir the manager is absolutely exceptional that he not only helped us with organising day trips in and around Aswan, but also prepared a most memorable birthday dinner.

The rooms where spacious and clean. I live a balcony and my room had that, i could open my balcony and see allt of the village. It was a quick walk to the ferry station and stores. Upon arrival Tamer send is a cab to gather all our belongings and bring us to the guest house. My children and his children played for hours. They didn’t want to leave. Daily we had breakfast and dinner at the guest house and it was delicious. We had a hard time finding a cheap ride home, Tamer was able to arrange a ride for us at a rate we could afford. If your looking for a safe space single or family, this is an awesome guest house to stay at. The picture below is the view as you approach the island.

Abu was very friendly and help us to book tours and transfers at very good prices. The room was very clean and spacious. Also the food was the best we had in Aswan. Also the two boys named Mohnamed and Abdul were very friendly and helped us with everything we needed. We recommend Abu guest house to everyone visiting Aswan.

We opted for the taxi service and were met at the airport by a lovely person (sorry, I’ve forgotten all names!) who got us there while pointing out all the local sights. On arriving, what a lovely place! Artika feels absolutely serene, you have the Nile right next to you, and it’s all so quiet. Food was absolutely delicious (with fantastic vegetarian and vegan options), and the drinks were great too. Everyone working was absolutely lovely, and so helpful and caring. Always willing to help with anything you could possibly think of or need. Blissful. They had a few really cute and friendly dogs and puppies as well, but were also always ready to move them away for someone in our group who was scared of dogs. Rooms were really spacious and the beds are huge! Overall, an absolute pleasure to stay here, and would love to come back again! Thank you so much for everything, to all the staff at Artika.

This is the perfect place to sleep in in Nubian village. It is wonderful, Hamo is super super friendly, he helped us a lot to book everything at the lowest rate. Service and everything was amazing. Everything is really clean and I was amazed by the island which is magic Bed were confortable too. 10/10 without hésitation
