The owner Taona is the sweetest woman & although she doesn’t speak English you can communicate & feel her warmth. Both her children speak good English. Her breakfasts are amazing. Home cooked, plentiful, varied & so delicious. We had a comfortable triple room at the back with a view up to the hill behind with cows & horses grazing. It is a small farm with a lovely rural feel just outside the town of Mestia so very peaceful. There is a great restaurant in the town which Taona recommended. We had good walks & drove to Ushguli which was beautiful. I woukd 100% Recommend this guest house & it’s very good value. Thank you Taona. ❤️

We even had the chance to try skiing right in front of the hotel! The room was lovely and clean, and the food was delicious. We loved the peaceful environment and had an amazing time with our family. We truly love this place and would highly recommend it.

Located in Mestia, 700 metres from Museum of History and Ethnography, Hotel Ailama Mestia features views of the garden. This 2-star hotel offers a shared lounge, dry cleaning services and free WiFi. The accommodation provides airport transfers, while a car rental service is also available. Perfect accommodation. Central, shops, restaurants. From the bus station towards Kutaisi, it's about a 7-minute walk. Be careful: there is also an Ailama Guesthouse (not a Hotel!), but in the opposite direction. Comfortable bed, cleanliness, new, balcony, refrigerator. Coffee machine, kettle (tea) in the common dining room. Each room is accessible by stairs, there are several floors, ladies manage it, you carry your luggage up yourself. Breakfast is adequate, with several types of food, but unfortunately not "Georgian" and it is not very available before 9:00. For earlier departures (buses to Kutaisi, for example, leave at 8:00 in the morning) they give you a food package.

Stayed one night (in the smaller cabin, 2 adults and 2 kids and we found it spacious enough for all of us) and we had such a good time and could experience the rural Georgia. Our kids loved to be around the animals and we loved to just prepare food in the outdoor kitchen, relax at the terrace etc. If I compare to all the places we have been at in our 3 week trip in Georgia, Genacvale has the best Wi-Fi! It’s also impressive how they have built this houses themselves. The hosts was super friendly and we felt very welcome. There are many beautiful places in the area and you can easily stay more nights if you would like to explore the nature and other villages around!

I will definitely come back to this guesthouse, the food is the best I had in all of Georgia and there was a great atmosphere in the house which made for a great evening. The hosts are very nice people and the facilities were very good.
