Not very far from city center and really in the the desert. Facility is really well maintained and many activities could be suggested by the owners. The staff are very warm and kind. The starry sky in the night was really amazing.

I loved everything about the camp: the place, the people, the delicious dinner and the camel ride. So cool! I was a bit skeptical about the comfort of the tent, but in the end it was cozy, clean, and so quiet. The owners of the camp are the best!

The camp itself was beautifully set up – very clean, peaceful, and with a truly magical atmosphere under the stars. What made the experience even more special was the amazing driver and guide, Ali. He was incredibly welcoming, knowledgeable, and made me feel safe and comfortable throughout the entire stay. His passion for the desert and local culture really came through, and he made sure everything was perfect. Even though I was traveling alone, I never felt lonely – just completely relaxed and in awe of the stunning surroundings. Highly recommended to anyone looking for an authentic and memorable desert experience! And the food was really nice too.

This was a wonderful experience and we enjoyed so much about it. Saud has created a beautiful, quiet, comfortable space for a small number of people to have an intimate experience in the desert, an homage to his experience growing up in Bidiyah. From beautiful tents to private bathrooms to wonderful food, Desert Waves is an amazing place to experience the desert, the stars, the scenery and experiences like camel rides or visits to local spots. We met some lovely people (fellow travelers) in the camp that we shared meals with, and Saud and his staff are very helpful, informative and friendly. FYI, two taxi drivers from Muscat quoted us 50 OMR each way to drive us to Bidiyah, and renting a car ourselves was less than half of that amount.

Had a wonderful time at Al Said Camp in Al Badiyah, Oman. The location is stunning and the camp is comfortable and welcoming. Yassir was truly helpful and kind and his excellent hospitality made the trip memorable. Highly recommend for an authentic desert experience.

Το SandGlass Camp παρέχει καταλύματα σε Badīyah με θέα στο βουνό και έχει παροχές για μπάρμπεκιου. The tent was nice and comfortable with just what you need: a bed and light. The host prepared a snack with fruits, a variety of dates, traditional halwa, coffee and tea for when everyone arrived. I also got to see and pet the camels, they were extremely friendly. After that I watched the sunset from the sand dunes and had dinner with everyone else which was great with lots of vegan options. Later we watched the stars and learned about different constellations.
