Although the room was a standard motel room it was well appointed and spotlessly clean. I am a cat person so I loved all the cat touches in the decor and fittings. I also really loved the cats that live there. The staff were friendly and very helpful. There is a nice kitchen area with free tea and coffee, bread and cereals. The location was good and within walking distance of many of the main attractions - the clock tower and the walking street plus restaurants and the bus station. My room was quiet and Sleepy House is in a quiet street with some coffee shops nearby for morning coffee. I would definitely return to Sleepy House if I am ever back in Chiang Rai.

The hosts were lovely and cooked us some great food. Beds were very comfortable and the area was very peaceful but within easy reaching distance of the town. The gifts as we left were a lovely gesture too...as were the hugs! 😃

The nearby restaurant, which also belongs to them, serves unbelievably delicious Thaifood by the way :) I can recommend this place 100%!

I didn’t use it all but I did use the washing machine and it has all the racks, washing basket etc to dry everything on the veranda, Paul even supplies complimentary detergent and softener, even has board games if you’re couple or family, a far better option than a hotel. This place really does have it all. It’s so quiet at night as it’s in a residential area but also nice and close to the town with a 7-11 just up the road.

29 km from Mae Fah Luang University, Rai Phuchat is a recently renovated property located in Ban Pa Thon and provides air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi and private parking. This place is a veritable paradise, so much so that we completely lost track of time at the pool and ended up checking out late. No one was rushing us out or reminding us, just letting us relax and no charge for the late check out. We went during their low season so they kindly and without prompting upgraded our family to their lovely Thai style wood house villa where we enjoyed the cool country air as we drank and ate with old friends. I am looking forward to staying here on our next trip.
