I didn’t expect about the food in the hotel. Since we don’t have a choice to eat somewhere else but the food was delicious.

Tree Roots Retreat is a gem for people looking for a weekend getaway to unplug. It is tucked into a field but still walkable to the beach, and my what a sight the sea was these past few days! The whole place has a distinct character with mix-and-match decor & furnitures, but they all come together quite well and the overall ambience is one of coziness. To me it feels like the summer version of curling up by the fireplace with a hot cocoa when it's snowing. The rooms are spacious with a huge bed, it is so comfy I could literally sink into it and disappear for a week! Each room also has a private "loft" which doubles as a reading nook. Don't fret if you forgot reading materials, they have a library there too! What makes the place standout the most though, isn't all of the above I've mentioned, but rather the hospitality and sincerity the retreat hosts - Carol & Dennis - show to each of their guests. What a wonderful pair! Highly recommend this place, and will most definitely be back!

The landscaping is gorgeous on this property. They keep it maintained and trimmed. Chairs owned by property in the front. Grab does work in this area. Brand new 7-11 is walkable and restaurants walking distance. Good for a 2-3 nights, short stay.
