The single room I booked was comfortable and fine for 1 person. The bed was comfortable. The shared shower & toilet were spotless. Towels provided every day if needing a replacement. The weather was very hot so big fans were provided if wanted. Loved the kitchen/ lounge area too. Very central. Just at the end of the Main Street. WiFi worked perfectly. Would definitely stay again!

The Ambrosia Guesthouse completely exceeded my expectations! Check-in with co-owner Anthony was quick and friendly, with great tips for visiting the beautiful medieval town of Rheinfelden. The room is attractively decorated with many little unexpected extras, such as bedside charging stations with multiple ports and high quality toiletries (soap, lotion, shampoo and conditioner). The room was clean and comfortable, with blinds and dark curtains for a good sleep. The location is excellent, being only 5 minutes walk from the train station and 10 minutes walk to the old town. The neighbourhood is quiet, clean and safe. In the morning we enjoyed a lovely fresh breakfast, much of which is homemade by the charming Nathalie and Anthony. The breakfast area is bright and charming, with many lovely little treats and unlimited coffee! We will definitely return again next year when visiting Art Basel, which is easily reached by train and tram from this location.

Great location near the spa, near city, near Rhine river. Room was big, well equipped, very nice room. Hotel lunch/dinner restaurant was good. Breakfast can slightly improve quality. Staff was very polite. Spa was excellent, direct connect from the hotel. The only drawback I would personally say is that hotel price seems high for a 4* hotel.

Close to Basel by train, a very convenient oasis away from the heat, hustle and bustle of the city. Excellent rooms, efficient but friendly staff with old-world manners, a lovely setting amongst mature trees, and a delicious dinner outside in the cool of a summer’s evening. It was a pleasure to stay here.

It's a minergie house. If you are often cold at night, this place may be tough for you. But if you're usually warm/hot, it's a perfect place. :) The breakfast was great with plenty to choose from and the view at breakfast was wonderful.
