Hosts reached out via What'sApp. I was greeted on arrival with keys and a tour of the space. The unit was the size of a condo and views of the farm and volcano were beautiful. Parking was on site and safe; the property is gated. The property is well located to enjoy area activities, and it makes an excellent stopover on the way to La Fortuna. The owner is beyond generous with his time and knowledge of the area. Breakfast was homemade and brought to my door.

I liked this studio in the mountains. A good location if you are going to Poas. The view is fabulous. This is a nice little studio for one or two people with a very comfortable bed, patio and small kitchen. The owners are easy to communicate with. Everything was very good.

It was everything more than perfect!!!! Area is miraculeus, the whole complex unique, the team is so friendly, professional and ready to support you in any issue!!!! The offer in restaurant for breakfast and dinner is unique, as well, with all fresh ingredients, from meat, vegetables, caffee… it is a natural oasis with wonderfull people!!!!!!!

Altura House is a great place to stay near Poas Volcano. The property has gorgeous views with unique lodging options (geo domes and container spaces), as well as more traditional rooms, which is where I stayed. The room was spacious with separate sitting area and small kitchen space. There were windows all around which was great for watching the animals at the farm next door. The included breakfast was filling and tasty. I definitely recommend Altura House if you are in the area and would stay again.

Nearly everything was perfect. Beautiful grounds with lots of indoor and outdoor space to lounge, gorgeous views, very sweet animals that live on the property, and a large and comfortable room with a dehumidifier and heater. Staff were friendly and very helpful! Location was perfect. The included breakfast was delicious!

The location near the top of the volcano in the clouds is excellent. The landscaping and atmosphere are very charming. The staff are helpful, and all the dogs and cats are adorable. There are multiple excellent lookout points and places to sit and relax.

Charming two level cabin in a remote location, but convenient for an early morning visit to Poás Volcano. We were just 2 people but the cabin has sleeping for at least 10 people as well as a kitchen with hob, fridge freezer and wood fireplace, plus WiFi. The views are spectacular! Lots of blankets which came in handy as this was the coldest area we stayed in CR! Host was lovely and was waiting for us to guide us on where to park as waze was going to take us further down the track! Make sure you let her know your arrival time.

From the time we arrive we felt more than welcomed.. everything was prepared for us in the most effective way..the location of the hotel was like a fairytale..our room has a fantastic view ..the breakfast was so hommy and delicious.. And above all I have to say that the owner was so kind and friendly and generous..she make everything she could to make our stay a fantastic experience.

This is a unique property. The location is beautiful. The grounds and buildings have been developed in a charming eccentric manner. Breakfast is simple traditional and satisfying Costa Rican fare. The staff were very accommodating. I would recommend to my friends without reservation.

The room is not fancy but very clean. we had a Mountain View room and it was super clean and cute. It had everything we needed. The location is perfect and the staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful with everything. The restaurant on site is pretty good and we’ll visited by tourists and locals alike. Very good value hotel in Poas.
