Absolutely love the decor and standard of furniture, fixtures and fitting of this beautifully refurbished Georgian house. Extremely well decorated and furnished, spacious, with a large bar area, large restaurant with linen tablecloths, and a separate dining area for four-legged friends. Good to know that pets are welcome and are catered for, but those without pets can dine in a separate area. Bedroom (No. 7) was beautifully furnished, spacious with very comfy super king size bed and lovely walk-in shower room with a hot powerful shower. We didn't dine in the restaurant in the evening but we both had a scrumptious breakfast in the morning. Most importantly, the staff were very friendly, efficient and attentive. Finally, the price for B&B for two was very reasonable. What's not to like ??? Highly recommended !!!

A quaint and beautifully decorated cottage with such thoughtful finishing touches and colour schemes. We had a very comfy stay on a rainy night, the place warmed up very quickly with heaters. The kitchen was wonderfully equipped and we enjoyed the fresh eggs. We loved the privacy most, having purchased ingredients to make dinner in the local Co op just up the road, we made dinner and breakfast and liked being somewhere so peaceful. We would definitely stay again, using it as a good stop off point between Blackpool and Sutherland. Would love to know what colour blue the kitchen was painted, inspiration for home? Thank you Neil and Kathryn for being perfect hosts and we will be back in the future.

We had parking right by the front door. The staff were very welcoming. Our twin room was spacious with comfortable beds, and we had a modern en-suite bathroom that smelt lovely and inviting. It felt like a hotel rather than a hostel. The location is beautiful too.

The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. The hotel has bags of character and has a fabulous atmosphere. Although the hotel doesn’t have its own parking there is free parking just opposite the hotel on the quiet Main Street. The hotel location makes it a fabulous place to stay when exploring local amenities and attractions.

This was our second stay at this beautiful property, words really can’t describe just how perfect a place to stay in it is. The hosts have thought of everything, it’s exceptionally clean, well maintained and in a great location. If you like to relax at the cottage and the weather is on your side there is a lovely garden which is lit up in the evening, for the inquisitive there is more than one route into the town and plenty of woodland to explore. Will definitely return.

Really first class accommodation with a high end finish. Lots of little extras included to give a really special feel. Good selection of quality cooked food and well kept ales. Great location in the High Street with easy access to the town. Friendly owners and staff. A lovely place to stay, close to the motorway for a stopover or to explore the area. We have stayed at most of the hotels in Moffat over the years and this is as nice as it comes.

Location couldnt of been better. It was minus 2 when we arrived and luckily there is parking outside but for only 3 cars. as we walked in the hallway was freezing but when we got up stairs the house was like a sauna. Takeaway opposite was amazing for the meal deal. Shop at end of street for booze and snacks. My mum spent half an hour trying to turn bathroom light off. Good place to stay.
